    2010 race plans?

So...because my coach asked all of her clients to do a preliminary annual training plan by December 1, I have a fairly good idea of what races I will be doing in 2010. In addition to monthly 5ks and a few 10ks along the way, just because I need to do such stuff, the triathlons on my plan are:

Cottage Lake Supersprint, June 19, in Woodinville, Wa. http://marymeyerlifefitness.com/newtri/. Just to kick things off. First coed triathlon for me.

Five Mile Lake Women's Sprint Triathlon, July 3, in Auburn, WA. http://www.buduracing.com/pdf/2010%2...n%20070310.pdf. Did this one last year so thought it would be nice to do it again and see what's changed.

Mid-Summer Olympic Triathlon, August 1, at Blue Lake Park in Fairview, Oregon. http://www.racecenter.com/midsummer/. This will be my first Olympic length triathlon. All I put on my "goal" part of the ATP was "Finish this in a non-mortifying time". (yet to be defined...). I did the sprint triathlon here last year, so I know the bike and run are reasonably flat.

Olympia/Black Hills Olympic Triathlon, September 11 (no website yet). Susan O did this one some years ago.

What are y'all doing in 2010?

I have two HIM planned so far this year. May 23 is the first one, the Auburn Tri. The bike portion has 6,000 feet of climbing over the 56 miles. July 31 I will do Barb's Race again.

Mmmm--sounds like the bike course will suit you. Will look forward to hearing about this one.

Other than this one race that Wahine told me about (http://www.edmonton.ca/attractions_r...triathlon.aspx), I haven't given it much thought but you just inspired me to do some research! Looks like there are some good events around.

I've been vaguely thinking that in addition to working on my swimming form I should check out the Chi walking/running books and work on my foot and ankle stability. Taking the dog for daily walks seems to have exacerbated some muscular imbalances. It's also been a bit of a challenge to establish routines re my fitness goals, but hey -- it's a new year, right?
