    How to wear leg warmers

I feel really silly but how are leg warmer supposed to be worn? Inside the shorts? Outside? Is it a preference thing?

Inside the shorts. Some people even put them on first.

They make my thighs look much fatter than they are . I've only worn mine once or twice since I bought them.

under: I believe it's about them sticking up better because of the gripper.
+1 about them making my thighs look like sausage.

But arm warmers - I usually put them over my mesh undershirt, I feel they stick better that way. But below the jersey because it looks less stoopid.

I put my socks on first, then my leg warmers, then my shorts.

And yes it makes my legs look funny. Warmth has a price.

I vetoed the leg warmers because of the fat that sticks out between the elastic in the leg warms and the elastic in the shorts.

I simply where full pant style leg warmers over my cycling shorts. They sell some specifically for cycling, which I have from Pearl Izumi, but I also have a basic pair from Target that does the same thing. I only where them on days when I am pretty confident I won't want to take them off and I find I rarely get uncomfortably hot in them. Maybe a little warmer than I'd like to be, but not much. I suppose I could buy a pair of "cycling pants" with the chamois in them, but at least I do have the option of taking off the pants if I really, really want to.

But to answer you question, yes, they go "under" your shorts.

    Sausage Legs!

If you have any bit of fat on your thighs, there will be a bulge. Women usually have fat on their thighs. We're women - we're not men. And with leg warmers we are women with warm and comfortable legs. I had to get over the sausage leg obsession. No one is thinking about it as much as you are. I personally love the defeet "Kneekers" - so comfy! Warm legs are strong legs. Tokie
