For the last few days, I've been unable to get beyond the home page of weather.com...like to the local or the 10 day forecast. Today, I'm unable to get it at all.
Anyone else having trouble?

Nope. Got there fine just now.
But I use the NWS. The problems you're having sound like they're ad-related, which is another reason to go to an ad-free site. Are you using an ad-blocker, did you upgrade Shockwave or Java recently, did you clear your cookies out and disallow new ones, something like that?
The NWS collects and supplies all the data anyhow. Only trouble with the NWS is if you're on the edge of a weather station's zone. (Their radar has about a 150 mile range.) Over 100 miles from a NWS station, you're better off checking a commercial source that collates data from multiple NWS stations - or checking all the bordering NWS stations yourself.

It is working well in Shelbyville.

Okeydokey here.
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.
It told me I was sitting at 27 degrees and 9 mph winds just now. Yea, it must mbe messed up![]()
Accuweather.com <-- I like their "real feel" temp forecast.
"How about if we all just try to follow these very simple rules of the road? Drive like the person ahead on the bike is your son/daughter. Ride like the cars are ambulances carrying your loved ones to the emergency room. This should cover everything, unless you are a complete sociopath."

Random babblings and some stuff to look at.
Thanks, Kali!
I haven't had any problems w/weather.com but having another checkpoint is good (especially when there is precip on the radar)
I think I know what the problem is - they don't like the weather either so they shut down and went somewhere warm![]()
Normally I don't participitate in the "me too" discussions but since no one brought it up, $5.00 to Weather Underground gives you AD-FREE displays for a year, and you can log into your account (sans ads) from any computer.
Their forecasts are very good for my area, though I do have to extrapolate from a NOAA marine forecast to account for the proximity to the ocean, and wind. I've been a paid member at Weather Underground for many years.
I bookmarked my hour-by-hour forecast page, so I never see the home page; and I use Firefox, so ads aren't a problem.
Interesting...I deleted the weather.com cookies from my cache and it works just fine.
I tried the other sites, but just didn't like them as much.
Another good one is www.intellicast.com

Bah.
They all for the most part get their base data from the National Weather Service. They may use different computer programs for predictive modelling, but the sattelite and radar stuff is all from one source.
And you're certainly not gonna get ads there....
