It's that time of year! Peeps appear again!

Since our discussion of poison oak treatment degenerated into discussion of the medicinal effects of junk food, including Peeps, I thought I'd post these links. I wonder if PETA has been contacted?

I'm with you, V, but love makes you buy gross things just to make your sweetie happy. He also likes circus peanuts, those orange styrofoam peanut-shaped things. Luckily he has lots of other redeeming traits like buying me Scharffen Berger chocolate. Someone in the family has to have good taste!

    Well....

we used to have yearly PeepFests. For some reason we stopped hosting them. We'd have a different theme every year (Peeps in History, 2001 a Peep Odyssey, Peeps at leisure, etc) and all attendees had to bring a to-theme art project using Peeps.

Here's a fishing fly a friend made. He was quite proud of it. It's been around for a few years, so it's not too colorful anymore. I think it's a size 4 or something like that (it's a big'un).

Oh, Yelllow, that Peep is great. I bet some large mouth bass would love it!

Bubba also loves loves his "pasta and cheese with American Sausage" aka Mac n' Cheese with wieners. Don't ask me where I found him. Somehow I missed out on all this great American cuisine until I met him.

I LOVE PEEPS!!! Before you could only get them at Easter but now I find they have Halloween, Christmas, Chanuka, etc. etc. Peeps. I like to open the box and leave them sit for a day or two...stale, best way to eat 'em!!

Save some for summer. They make killer s'mores (nice a sugar coated-crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside...better 'n regular mmellows)!

The Spooky Cats a couple of years back were chocolate flavored...those made really good s'mores.

I have a whole collection dating back years. Properly stored, they retain s'morability for a while.

Did you know that the eyes are made out of wax???

In Phoenix, food dries out very quickly if not completely sealed. I never really liked Peeps at all until I moved here and discovered that they are edible if you let them sit out a bit and get kinda crunchy!

Peeps have always been popular when I've driven the SAG wagon for the ACTC academy. Circus animal cookies too. Did you know they have "spring color" cookies out.....and me on week 4 of Weight Watchers. Must resist......must resist.........

MMMMMMM! Circus animal cookies! I love 'em! Have you checked their calorie content? How can anything so small, that is not chocolate, have so many calories?!!

    Still Crying!

I was laughing so hard I was crying - and me @ work! Thank you so much for sharing the site!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
