    sneakers for the sole

I'm very sad that Nike bought Converse, though it does mean a bazillion varieties of Chuck (including a knee-high pleated silk for waaaay too many $$)

Meanwhile my Keens are wearing out, and I'm in the market for a new (and hopefully socially responsible, maybe even vegan) pair of sneakers.

    I'm looking at these:
http://adbusters.org/metas/corpo/bla...shoes/home.php I've always wanted a pair of Fluevogs...

    Anybody have other recommendations?

It doesn't get any more politically correct then these; organic free trade shoes, made by happy independent trade union members in the US, Canada, and the developing world, some made from hemp (the shoes, not the trade union members ), and they plant trees when you buy stuff and and and

Those pink high tops are the ones my Angie wore to her Prom. She has a fairy hot pink gown, black and white striped tights, pink and black hair, and pink high tops. Wanna see a picture?
