    Do you find this slimming?

It seems that many of the apparel manufacturers are now using contrasting color thread for the stitching on their shorts (see the link).

Do you find this look flattering? I always thought it accentuated the largest and most unattractive part of me, the part most women try to camouflage a bit. But a couple of guys told me recently that they thought it was slimming.

    What do you think?

I think it would depend. If you have a heart shaped butt, the stitching might accentuate it. (everyone shaking their heads....heart shaped butt, wtf is snap talking about?)

I personally like it. I do not know if it would make me look slimmer, but I do like the look.

I think it's pretty. Terry has a really cool pair with pink stitching. My Sugois have light gray. I like it. _All_ bike shorts are slimming!

I think (sadly) that most manufacturers think women cyclist are all size 2's and have lovely, firm, tight little rears and most do but then there's folks like me. I tried on those PI shorts and well - let's just say it wasn't pretty. Not pretty at all!

I noticed stitching like that on AuntieK's shorts in the post about the TT race she did with yellow. I thought they looked very pretty. Slimming? Does it make my gut disappear? That's all I care about!

    Bubba's also!

And, you are obviously talking about somebody else's butt.

The reason I'm asking is that I seem to have misplaced (not lost because they will show up) a pair of Castelli shorts. The current version has the contrasting stitching. I just don't see that posterior in those shorts, but I love Castelli for the road. Sigh . . .

Yeah well you look a whole LOT better than one of those Pillsbury Dough ladies that come waddling out of a Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet!

Well, thanks, but just because I look better doesn't mean it looks good! Kind of like comparing muffin tops - no matter what size the roll is, it still is unattractive.

I actually just bought those PI shorts not too long ago. I have large thighs and I think they are slimming from the front, but I think they make my butt look slightly bigger than my all black shorts . That's ok though because I love the chamois and that's more important to me.

I love the contrasting stiches. As long as they don't go down the front (camel toe) or straight down between the butt cheeks like a g string they're OK with me.
