Neo Power shorts. There are two leg length options.

Hi there!
I've been in a constant battle with bike shorts since I started riding in 2008. I have a very straight waist, only 4-5" difference from my hips. Finding women's bike shorts is, obviously, a right pain in the rear! Well, the waist, but still.
Can anyone recommend a brand/model of shorts that's straighter from the hip to waist or lower rise?
Bibs are an option, but I want regular shorts as well. Men's shorts are usually waaaaaaaaaay too long on me, instant knickers!
Thanks for your help!~

Maybe ... my hips are 8" bigger than my waist and Neo Power fit me nicely...
How do you feel about the chamois in tri shorts? They generally run short, maybe you could wear a men's tri short?

Catrin if you happen to read this thread, please correct me if I'm totally off base here, but it seems like you have a pretty small waist-to-hip ratio. I know you like your Sugoi RS short. I've worn that short, too, and the fabric manages to be both compressive and stretchy, thereby working for a number of body types. OP, it might be one worth trying.

While I am a LOT smaller than I once was, my hips are still smaller than my waist (a bit of an apple going on). I really, really, really LIKE my Sugoi RS shorts. They are expensive, but are made to fit different body types. This is also the only chamois I've found that my body likes outside of the PI 3D, and I like the Sugoui chamois even better. There is a definate difference in both material and chamois between the RS and less expensive Sugoi shorts so if you do decide to try a pair on, make certain it is the RS.
I certainly find my small Sugoi RS shorts to be more compressive than my small PI bibs!
The RS fit me perfectly, too, and my hips are about 6-7 inches bigger than my waist. My hips aren't huge, but, still. I could oly wish to have a straight waist to hip ratio.
They are stretchy and mildly compressive. I wish they were as compressive as the Bellas, but then, they wouldn't be as comfortable to wear in the hot weather.

I am about five inches different from waist to hip and the best for me were the Neo Power shorts I mentioned. Catrin, I'll have to try the Sugoi RS too.
