I posted this question on a another thread I had and realized people were not seeing it. so reposting it.
We are doing a sand sculpture of old toy's here in east Texas. I would love idea's if anyone has them. We have one's we are going to do like Mr potatoe head, army guys, slinky etc...but wanted to see if anyone had one's we are not thinking about. For those who don't know what I do for a living here is my web site www.sandscapes.com.
I am having to relearn hydratration here in Texas. I drank so much yesterday and still only peed 1 time during the day! Once I got back to my hotel then i went a lot more. But seriously did I sweat all that out? We are in direct sun sculpting in Texas. Over 90 yesterday! Don't worry all I wear a hug brimmed hat and sunblock that makes me look white!

How about wind up toys like a robot, chattering teeth, rock 'em sock'em robots, paddle ball, tinker toys, erector set, a baseball bat and glove, spinning top, yoyo, viewfinder, the little telephone you pull around with a string, a rubiks cube, jacks and ball, the little lawn mower looking toy you push around and has little balls that pop? Well I'm off to work, I hope you get some inspiration for your sculpture!

+1 on the schwinn stingray! you gotta throw a bike in there somehow lol. Post pictures when it's done! I'd love to see it

My brother had a Mr Machine (plastic robot style toy from the 1960's) might be not well-known though. Tokie

How about an EasyBake Oven, complete with one of those little pineapple upsidedown cakes, or a cupcake with colored sand frosting that glitters in the sun?

Or a Little Golden Book - The Pokey Little Puppy and The Little Engine That Could.

What was the name of that record player that played automatically when you set the needle down on the record?

How about a Sit 'n' Spin?

Or every kid's favorite toy: a cardboard box.

Okay, that was only a little bit of a joke, but how about a cardboard box made into a rocket ship? Or a TV studio. My daughter made one of those when she was about five. She put on a whole news broadcast, complete with weather graphics. It was so cute. I wish I'd filmed it.

    I can't believe no one's suggested Barbie.

Oh, I see her now... Jyy

MP, I can just see you, 5 years old, on a big wheel, training for the death ride.

Andy Pandy and space hoppers (clearly unrelated but would be interesting if they were).

    Love the sand sculptures.

I am afraid stuff like Barbie is copyrighted. We can get away with a few things but Barbie is too big. Some more great idea's. I love the Pokey Puppy idea! The picture below is from yesterday morning. We put a furbie (Furby?), wooden block, lego and the begining of a sock monkey.
