Dog adoption - San francisco/Oakland CA area

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Puffy, a 1.5 yr old, female, Chi-Weenie (8 lbs) needs a forever home.

My neighbors had to move and couldn't take her. I have housebroken, crate trained and started basic obedience with her (not much of that is needed - she's very good). Non-yapper, but a good little watchdog (from your lap)... alert barks at door knock or stranger, then quiet.

Good with older kids and cats (most kitties bigger than her)... would be great for a work-from-home person or a retired couple. She just wants to be in a nice warm lap.

She's very shy, but warms up quickly once she knows she's safe. Contact me if you'd like this sweet little girl under your holiday tree (or even after the holidays).

    Thanks! spazzdog

She's so cute! I'd expect a itty-bitty dog to behave like all the other dogs in the house, and so the itty-bitty dog would be able to wiggle out of our fence in some places. So that's why I don't have an itty-bitty dog.

I hope she finds a home soon. If she could talk I'm sure she'd say THANKS to you.

I've got someone who is interested in Puffy.
Can we give you a call?

Sure Knotted... you have my cell. Call after 6 pm (but not tonight 12/15 - won't be home).

Please folks - she needs a home. I can keep her even into February but it's too soon after my losing Quidditch to get attached to this little girl. I'm happily fostering, but with a guarded heart.

    Thank you!

    OK.
Do you know if Puffy is spayed? Vaccinated?

Puffy is NOT spayed (yet). She will get shots updated soon.

She just went into heat so spaying can't happen until late Jan-early Feb. Fortunately she's teeny so keeping her safe from amorous boy dogs has been easy. She is an inside doggie.

We are looking for a free/inexpensive spay program, but if a prospective adopter is financially able to do it upon adoption, that would be great.

She is so cute, about the size of our Heidi. I am sure she will find a forever home, thanks for being a foster!

Check your local Humane Society. They are all independent, so they may not run the same programs, but the one I volunteer at offers low cost spays all of the time and occasionally does "spay days" where it is either free or the fee is nominal (something like $5 or $10)

Unspayed is ok. Prospective adopter is willing to pay for spaying. She will call you tomorrow.

yes, not enough can be said about fostering. I'm sure she'll find a forever home no problem Little dogs find homes so much easier than big ones.

THanks for all the moral support! She is a sweetie.

Please copy and paste her info/photo and distribute to your circles of friends. Am hopeful that somewhere there is someone who can take her and give her lots of loving for many many years to come.

There is a lot of excitement here. 4 different folks willing to transport Puffy to Seattle, a couple vets lined up, eager dog sitters, and supplies ready and waiting.

Can she call you during lunch today? Or does it need to be after 6pm? She really wants Puffy...
