Ever had one of those mornings?

I got up this morning for masters swimming, forgot to load something into my truck that I was supposed to for work. That was OK as it wasn't vital for today. I'll get it tomorrow.

Swam HARD!! Then got out my single serving of organic chocolate milk for my recovery drink. You know, the little ones for kids' lunches that don't have to be refrigerated. I barely touched the straw to the aluminium foil when I remembered to shake. When I shook it, it spit up all over me. Dang I must have peirced the foil with my straw, right? Then I took a drink, tasted a little funny but I wasn't sure so I took another dirnk. Not only was it funny tasting, it was chunky!!!! I nearly barfed.

So off to work. I'm leaning over the desk and my receptionist doesn't see me and almost pokes me in the eye with her pencil eraser.

Then the battery died on my video camera when I was trying to do video analysis with a running client.

Then at some point in the morning I manage to lose my shoes. So had to run around barefoot. Fortunately I work in a PT clinic so this kind of behavior is not totally unusual.

I wonder what the afternoon will bring?

Soon, you will laugh over today.

I think you got all your bad karma for the week out of the way today and the rest of the week will be excellent.

We all have bad ones. They make us appreciate the good ones.

hey Yoda - hopefully, none of your afternoon clients are reading this!

I agree w/Mimi...you're on the upswing now...(chuckling over new caveat tho: don't drink chunky milk?)

Or maybe it was really good karma 'cause they were all no-harm-no-foul things, except maybe the battery thing. There should be a regression to the mean shortly.

    When it rains it pours?

And other bad figures of speech.

I guess you have to laugh at it. Either that or go home and go to bed but I don't think that's an option

Sounds like an interesting day. I think a glass of wine when you get home is the reward. How long did it take you to get the taste of that milk out of your mouth?

and yeah, I've had days like that

Actually, I've been laughing about it all morning. It started with the seriously grossed out looks on everyone's face when I tell them about the milk. I've pretty much laughed it all off.

And at the risk of jinxing myself...

my afternoon is going swimmingly so far

Glad to peer closely and see that last part...

Also, per Teigyr's suggestion and your DH's new access to the motherlode of vino...you have that to look forward to also, eh?!

That's our yoda! There are some (including me) who might complain and let the little difficulties weight them down, but yoda just laughs.
Sound like your butterflies are happy down there! YAY!

That's exactly how I feel about it. It's really minor in the global scheme of things.

    wait wait this is funny....
One day my husband blew out he's wrist, ripped his shorts in the crotch and had to duck tape them, got stung by a bee and hit himself in the knee with a pick axe! We were working around him at the time when the axe hit him, we all just started backing away from him.
He got a beer with dinner that night and said it was the best beer he had ever had!
Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.
