    Job at the bike shop?

I am so happy right now! ... well, and nervous! I went up to bike works yesterday (4 shops located in Orlando area) and I gave them my resume. From they way they were talking and how I am always in there, i am 90% sure I got the job.
Man that is going to be so awesome working in a bike shop!

Im happy but... they still havnt called. Should I wait... or should I call them? If I call them... what should I say? I dont want to sound too desperate. I mean, I have a job right now at the movies (Im still in HS) but I really really want to work at the shop! It would be so fun and i would learn a lot more about bikes.

I just wanted to post this since im happy and to also get advice....... do you think I should call them? What should I say???

    Thanks!

did they tell you when they were going to make their decision?

If yes: then wait until After their decision date. If you don't hear from them you can always just call and say you were following up on a resume you turned in etc etc etc.

If no: you can call them and tell them you forgot to ask at the time you submitted your resume when they were planning on making their decision. You might also ask them if they will call you and let you know once the decision has been made even if they hired someone else.

and always thank them for their time! I know that sounds very formal but sometimes its the little things like that that make a big impression.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

You could always try what my friend used. She had applied at Trader Joe's, and waited patiently. Finally she went into the store and said to the manager "You know you're going to hire me eventually, why not just do it now?" She got the job.

    Haha, that is great.

I had to drop off a laptop at the bikeshop for someone by friday but I went today just so I can talk to them about it. He said sorry he hasnt called but if I dont hear form him by tomorrow then call on friday. I hope I hear from him tomorrow lol.
I was there and my ex was too (Ivan)... shawn (The guy who hired me) Said i should put Ivan as a reference since they know him and he would probably have good things to say about me. Well when i walked in and saw ivan, shawn was like (In front of me and Ivan) "Well, i was calling some references and i called this guy... iva... ivan? Yeah... he had some nasty things to say...hmmm" hahaha I was like "Yeah, I figured" haha..... we were all just joking.

    Ok anyway....good luck to me!
