    Anyone here been to Cabo?

I'm going to Cabo on the 20th for 4 days and I've never been there before. My friend's husband is sending three of us to Cabo for my friend's Christmas gift. We are staying at a place called The One and Only Palmilla. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the area and can recommend some good spots to hit. I'm also wondering if Cabo has a good street market where I can get some fun stuff for my kids.

    Thanks!

I've never been, but the resort sounds amazing. Pampering time! If it's whale watching season I'd do that.

    Hey..

Was there a few years ago but dang I can't remember the names of the places I went. And NO it's not cuz of the tequlia!

When I got off the plane I just asked the shuttle driver where the good restaurants were. I emphasized the non-touristy ones.

He pointed me to a place where I think I dined at every night practically. And I can't remember the name which really bums me out.

Had to take a taxi there and it was off the beaten path.

Will dig some more to see if I can remember or the peeps who went with me can remember (which WOULD surprise me cuz of the the RUM they consumed).

If I can't remember, at least have the lobster. Really good lobster over there.

I cannot help you. My husband is envious though, as he is a huge Sammy Hagar fan and would very much like to go to the Cabo Wabo Catina.

    Have a great trip!!

I've been there. Yep, Cabo Wabo was good for a night out, but I'm guilty of not remembering the name of a restaurant either. It was on the docks and we sat outside. It was the BEST garlic grilled shrimp I have ever had And I didn't meet a drink I didn't like

I went 10 years ago so I'm sure a lot has changed. What I remember - lots of beggers, tons of time share people starting with the airport. They had tables set up that looked like they were from the hotel so we thought we'd get the shuttle there. Nope, time share crap. It was everywhere! Every person that approached with some great deal was time share related. Stay clear of them all! They even stood at the ends of the hotel driveways offering "free breakfasts" in the morning. Avoid them and have a blast - it's gorgeous.

If you get a chance, go to lovers/divorce beach. You have to take a little boat ride to get there but it was beautiful. Snorkling is also very good there. Food and liquor were expensive since it's the baja of California. I thought I'd score on kahlua since I was in Mexico but it was the same as buying it up here. So we just ate twice a day - brunch and dinner. And drank when we were hungry

Have fun! Remember, pix and trip report when you get back!
