    Bleriot

I picked up my Bleriot 650B bike today and I rode it a little bit before it became to dark and will ride it 40 miles or so Sat. It is a beautiful lugged steel is real frame. The Bleriot is one of the frames that Rivendell makes actually the least expensive. I used older parts where I could and I had to use new wheels because it is not a typical sized wheel. It looks vintage with its pretty headbadge and white headtube with contrasting metallic light blue frame. I did choose a pink Chris King headset to show support of awareness of breast cancer. I will post pictures later Sat. so I can capture some fall colors.

The brakes are NOS Dia Comp 750 center pull that I need to add Kool Stop pads someday. Thanks for the nice statements. I will get the yew needles out soon...lol. I may or may not keep the stem up high that is experimental. I am posting a side view for the sister Rivendell reader.

    What a beautiful bike!

I see you're in Oklahoma. Did you have an opportunity to test ride a Bleriot somewhere before ordering one?

“Hey, clearly failure doesn’t deter me!”
