Jumping on the band wagon
Hi Everyone,
I've been checking out the thread and using it as encouragement for myself. For the most part, I'm pretty content with where I've been at. I'm a size 12--sexy and curvy ;) I ran a marathon this last fall and I'd like to run another two or three this year. I want to improve my time and I figure one of the best ways to help me out is to drop some weight.
I could use some input. Right now, I weigh 170lbs. I do pilates for 30 minutes 3-4 days a week, run 45 to 60 min 3 to 4 days and ride my trainer for 45 to 60 minutes 3-4 days a week. I usually carry my daughter hiking or snow-shoeing for 1.5 to 2 hrs once a week as well. Sunday is my rest day. Phew.
Normally I eat 2400 calories a day. But, as I am trying to lose weight, I've cut it back to 1500-1800: 50% carbs, 25% pro, 25% fat.
I have lost no weight. In fact, I've gained 1.5 lbs. I also have not lost any inches. My jeans are snug :(
Any ideas on how to get things jump started? I'm concerned about cutting my calories any more because when I do that, I don't have the energy to do my workouts. I could use some encouragement.
Thanks everyone!
