I have a friend who did it after she had a baby. She LOVED it. It was a real time saver, and when she factored in less restaurant meals, it wasn't really expensive. It freed up a lot of time, and she said the food was amazing.

Next week I am trying a new homemade meal service. There's a woman who runs a business out of her home and she makes meals in family or 2-person servings. She offers 3-4 entrees each week with several options for side dishes. She makes everything from scratch and some recipes she can modify for special dietary needs.
I have a couple of friends that order from her all the time.
This is mostly for DH's benefit. The kids and I are happy eating simple meals and I hate cooking. I rarely make a big meal because DH is the only one who will eat it.
Anyone else try a similar service before?

It's only $9 for a an entree that serves 2 people, it also comes with a homemade loaf of bread. But from what my friends say, they always have leftovers. I can't buy ingredients to make an entree for that. And I found out that she does buy all of her meat from a local farm I have to admit, I'm really excited about this and fingers are crossed that it works out! I hate cooking. I'd rather spend my time cleaning toilets. But lets be honest, I spend my time biking and snuggling my kids

It sounds perfect. Does she do the shopping, too?

That is so worth it! I imagine if you're shopping less, it will be easier to avoid those spontaneous junk purchases. I hope it works out.

I actually like to cook, but there are some weeks or nights where I just don't have the energy (mostly to figure out what I'm going to cook), not doing the cooking part.
It would be nice to have a service like this for days like those!
