Okay, so he's never going to be a TE member...

But my five year old grandson was asking the other day, when we were folding laundry together, "what's this stuff in these shorts?"

Well, Xander, that's butt padding for when we're riding our bikes.

"I wish I had a butt pad," he said...

    Some day kid!

Did you ask him why he wished he had a butt pad?

For Christmas or his birthday you should buy him some tiny shorts with a chamois. I know Performance carries one and PI makes little shorts, too. Then he can have his own butt pad when he rides.

REI sells kids bike shorts with the butt pads; I got my six-year-old boy some. He was skeptical at first, but after a 14-mile ride one day he was VERY grateful. Yay butt pads!
