Are you renting a bike? If so, I suggest you bring your own set of pedals and your own seat if you can.

Where are you staying and where would you like to ride?

I'm not sure if I am bringing a bike or riding then. Have to go over things with my coach.

I would like to ride so maybe bring or rent, depending on options to rent there

I will be staying in the north panhandle area.
I don't want to get lost riding out there so I would either need to find a group ride to hook up with during the week or have someone help me with an out and back route.

Emily, Since you are near Golden Gate Park, you might want to do a Golden Gate bridge ride. I agree you should ride with someone else as SF isn't my favorite place to ride.

I don't know clubs in SF, but I would imagine you could find some. Also VeloGirls are based on the peninsula. They might have some women up in SF area.

Check with Maillotpois. She is a member here and has been quite helpful for visitors in the past. She lives in Mill Valley, just north of SF. She is a coach for the TNT NorCal group and a neat person to say the least!!!

    Good luck!

    Here's two to look into

Velogirls, check the calendar at http://velogirls.com/calendar.php

Their Sunday Northern exposure ride goes over the bridge. It starts in the Presidio but that is very doable by bike or car from the park.

Check the AIDS Lifecycle training ride calendar. No you don't need to be a rider to join. They will require that you be there for the safety speech. Anything listed as starting at the McClaren Lodge would be right there where the Panhandle joins the park.

Anything listed as starting from Sports basement might be going over the bridge next
