on the merits of riding your bike in the rain

Yes, I put on my raincoat and my hat and my rain pants and mounted my trusty bike Cavalletta and rode my bike in the rain. I carefully dodged large bottomless puddles and marveled at how well my koolstop brake pads work in the rain.

I arrived at work with a wet dripping bike, and I hung it in the bike rack. Opportunity was calling at that moment, when I noticed how filthy my poor bike was. It was also wet, having been moistened by a light misty rain. I got a soft cotton shop rag and wiped that bike clean. Anyone who goes by it today is going to marvel at how lovely and clean my bike looks. How did she do that?
well just to keep doubters' minds at rest, I hung the very filthy shop rag right next to my bike.

Me, I would have hidden the rag. Let them think I'm Super Woman.
Give big space to the festive dog that make sport in the roadway. Avoid entanglement with your wheel spoke.
