Women's Snowboarding Info?????????

Hey - I was wondering if anyone knew about any good sites to go for snowboarding info - like we have here at TE for bicycling. I have learned....well practically everything I know about cycling....from this forum, so if there was anything out there that helped with gear reviews, tips, good shopping recommendations, etc. It would be awesome.

I am in the market for new bindings and I am having such a hard time finding unbiased reviews.

Any suggestions??

No. I'm a skiier. Snowboards and I don't really get along, whenever we meet up I tend to end up with lots of bruises and sore muscles. I do frequent http://forums.epicski.com though, and that has a snowboarding section, but it is in the majority a ski website. I just like to play with google. Heh.
Good luck with the bindings, keep an eye on steepandcheap because they have been doing pretty well with women's gear for the past few weeks.

funny - I could say the same thing about skiiing and me. Not a happy match. First, and only, attempt resulted in many of the infamous "yard sales" and much snow down my pants. Not fun at all. I seem to have better control when my feet are not trying to work independently of one another (they both seem to want to take control).

I currently have burton Si step-ins, but I think flow is a GREAT combination of the step-in and strap world. I may have to lust after them... of course then I'd need new boots, and it doesn't just end there! New pants! New gloves! New goggles! Wait... now it sounds a lot like outfitting for the bike

My dad hangs out on epicski, too, he says it's a really friendly place and good for asking all kinds of questions. You're right though, mostly those ski types -- of which he is one as well

I have read that the Flows can be a pain to take on and off the board. Not like my bindings ever came off my board last year (except to pack the boards for flying to Colorado....where I will be living soon). Other than that I hear they're great. I am really looking for a toe cap though.

The powderroom forum is pretty cool, though seems heavy heavy European. Which is great for opinions, but not so great for shopping advice. They reference everything in Euros or GBP, and the places they go aren't really accessible for me (right now). I wonder if there is a more local version.

I tell ya what though...these girls really seem to be hardcore. It will be years before I can keep up with what many of them are doing.

I had no problems at all switching bindings to different boards last season. Just handed it to the bf.
