I must not have done this right the first time. I didn't see my post.

I finally replaced the shoes. I am not fond of tie shoes (too much work) and the shoes always felt too wide for me. And I supposedly have wide feet in the first place. I wear about a 6.5.

I must be fairly clumsy getting off and on the bike because I manage to get the inside heels covered in grease. I think I got most it off.

The shoes do not come with clips. The cover piece is still in the shoe sole.
