    So far today:

    B- oatmeal with milk

B2- whole wheat English muffin with cream cheese

L- quesadilla filled with cheddar cheese, leftover mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe (sounds weird, but it was good) with avocado and salsa verde

I need to eat some fruit, but I'm really not hungry. Don't know what I'm going to do for dinner.

D- steamed carrots, broccoli, and leeks, roasted potatoes and celery root (my last veggies from my CSA share), and cottage cheese.

    Happy birthday Crankin!

    My day:

    Oatmeal with PB and currants
    Makaibari Estate Darjeeling green tea

    HEED
    SoBe Energy
    More HEED
Potato chips (no sandwiches at the convenient store, and the little coffee house is closed Sundays )
    SoBe Green Tea

    In the oven:
Roast chicken (local, naturally raised heirloom variety hen)
    Sweet potatoes (farmer's market)
On the stovetop ready to be steamed:
    Cauliflower (farmer's market)

Fixing meat is so. freakin. easy. The 2-3 times a year we have meat at home, it's easy to understand why people get addicted to it. Spend 20 minutes prepping a meal instead of an hour and a half? Yeesh.

Hey, thanks for the birthday wishes. It's actually tomorrow, but we went out on our friend's anniversary to celebrate both. Of course, we are going out tomorrow, too! Nothing special, probably just a local restaurant, where I can be fairly disciplined. I was good at Legal Seafood and resisted the white bread roll, but not the wine.

    Today:
B- egg white omelete with goat cheese, blueberries and strawberries, oj and coffee
    Snack- slivered almonds and cranberries
L- veggie burger on whole wheat roll, with avocado and an orange, water
    snack- Luna bar
D- one and a half lamb chops sauteed with olive oil and garlic, couscous with grape tomatoes, and pineapple. 2 squares dark chocolate

This morning, after I managed to gulp down my Energen-C and vinegar concoction, I went out and had a latte. Jeez those things are expensive--$4.50!! Lucky for me, I prefer tea (made at home). I buzzed all day because of that latte.

In addition to the coffee buzz, I had a fruit smoothie that I made from frozen fruit, soy milk, and yogurt.
For lunch I made a turkey burger with cheese and tomato on an english muffin. And relish.

I had a bowl of Cheerios for a snack. Alas, I am out of bananas.

For dinner, I made myself a delightful little omelette with local eggs and swiss chard and herbs from my garden. It was delicous!

I have brownies in the freezer that I made last week, but I'm not really in a brownie mood tonight.

I read what you all are eating and I feel like a horrible person , mostly based on my coffee habit and my love for carbs.

    Yesterday:
B: bowl of cereal and a cup of coffee
    L: don't actually remember...
D: Salad made up of lettuce (for crunch) and spring mix (for some kind of nutritional value) and half a chicken breast, cubed, followed by a few slices of Cotswold cheese on roasted garlic crackers and a glass of milk and a glass of water.
    S: chamomile tea with sugar.

    Today:
B: croissant and a pumpkin spice latte.
L: cereal with 1% milk and an apple.
D: chicken cooked in an entire jar of Frontera red pepper and roasted garlic salsa; basmati rice; sauteed onions, red bell pepper and a chili pepper; cabbage stir-fried with garlic. Sort of eclectic, really.

Am trying to understand this concoction. with vinegar? What does the combo do? I love preparing omlette or scrambled eggs with veggies for supper at times. Easy, fast, nutritious.

Unlike yesterday, didn't do much cycling (5 kms. pfftt. Nothing.) vs. 18 kms. yesterday.
    Today
B- oatmeal with milk, tea with milk. fresh fig, 2 plums.
Snacks- almond biscotti & coffee with milk
2 fig & anise bread slices
a small slice of blue cheese, tea with milk
Supper - steamed salmon fillet with onion, garlic, ginger root & soy sauce, oil
light Asian noodles on side flavoured with salmon sauce from above dish
sauteed spinach & lettuce on side
    tea with milk, tangerine.

    Yesterday -

Oatmeal with PB and diced fresh apple

Plenty of Gyokuro green tea (man, I'm addicted, that is SO good even though it's super expensive)

2 oz "gel" consisting of 3 parts barley malt syrup to 1 part blackstrap molasses, with a pinch of sea salt, plus a little water

Snack of leftover butternut squash risotto (not too much... saving room for ... )

Then we went out to dinner.

Appetizer of bruschetta topped with green tapenade and marinated vegetables, over lightly wilted arugula
    Cream of wild mushroom soup
Grilled rainbow trout over sweet potatoes and gnocchi, with sage butter
    Crème caramel with fruit compote
    Rosé champagne....
