Woohoo

FINALLY, I got a good ride in some decent weather. Yesterday was in the 50's, sunny but windy - I'll take it. I decided after swimming and running that morning that the day was too pretty to waste so after my nap I got my stuff on and my bike in the van and headed out, I rode about 13 miles all over downtown, it was awesome! I love my bike it is quick and handles great. I hit a big pothole that snuck up on me and all I had time to do was hang on, I just knew I broke something but everything was still working. YEAHHHHHH, I got home and told my b/f and son how much fun I had, they don't get it!

There were several people on bikes downtown too. I had a headwind most of the time and a few times the wind was blowing so hard at times I thought I was going to fall over, but I still had fun.

I ran a trail run Sat. I was going to do the 10k but after getting on the muddy/snowy trail and running a 5k I changed my mind! I slipped and fell once and had mud all over my knees, my shoes were covered but it WAS fun, I can tell I need to run more outside tho, that was hard.

What a great weekend! today is supposed to be in the 60's then back to the 30's and snow tomorrow I really don't think it is mother nature, has to be a man behind this weather!

Yes, we finally had a decent day in NC yesterday too (I see you are in Va. so not so far away). High in the mid-upper 50s, sunshine, and yes, that March wind was blowing! My husband and I did a 31.5-mile ride into town for a Performance Bike shop and health food store run. He used full panniers and carried all the loot back. We were slow but had a blast. It was great to get out on the road again. Bring on spring! Today is supposed to hit 72 or so, but I am at work, then colder again for the rest of the week. Oh well!
