I meant to tell you, when my daughter Kelly was born, the afterbirth came out (why don't they tell you that's like a second childbirth???) and they put it in a stainless steel bowl for later inspection. And promptly dropped it with a horrendous (((((((CLANG)))))))). Kind of funny.

What do you guys think is the difference, in feel, between aluminum, carbon and titanium??
Nanci, I'd suggest a 2nd seatpost that you just leave attached to the 2nd saddle and pull the whole contraption when you want to switch saddles. Then, your finely tuned angles, setback and height don't change each time. Just mark the height with some tape, pull, and shove in the other post.

Ritchey makes some really nice quality aluminum seatposts. The new Specialized Pave has a great clamp on it but it is carbon. You might see if they make an aluminum version. The head has infinite adjustment points.

I personally like ti rails in my saddles. I can feel the rails flex on hard bumps.

I don't poop on the floor even under conditions of extreme anxiety, but I have to otherwise second Knotted's comment. You Thread Drift guys are a very cool bunch. Thanks for all your HSAI postings. I kept trying to figure out something to say after my first early post, but couldn't seem to edit out insults for the provocative poster, so didn't post again. I do think she understands quite well what she is saying and its impact.

Vermillion is a fabulous, dramatic shade of red fit for royalty. Congrats, Nanci. And your little bird, too.

SadieKate, that was exactly my idea!!

I always thought ti rails were weight-related- I never thought of it as a suspension feature! Cool! (Vitesse has ti rails, Flow does not.) I don't think.

I feel like I just learned something major.

Ooo! That's my bike that got stolen! It's a good bike, or at least the one I had was. Even the seat was good from what I remember....if only it could be found again....

Finally, word from BF who is on vacation back home up north, the first missive since a short "I miss you" e-mail on Tuesday. Does he ask am I ok? No. Does he say he misses me? No. Does he ask about Cracker Chicken??? Yes... :-) He is glad all pets are accounted for and doing well.

that's all we ask here at Thread Drift. We have very, very low standards.

May I add what I hope will be the final word about placentas? Stop talking about them! Sheesh. I actually have a great deal of respect for the placenta as an organ, and if you want a little educational talk, I'll be happy to comply. But only fishdr has mentioned placentophagy (repeatedly), and it grosses me out too! Since I have to/get to work with them all the time, stop talking about this bizarre practice! It's cannibalism, as far as I'm concerned! Harumph. Nuff said? Yes.

Re: HSAI: Por El Amor De Dios. and that's all I have to say.
not really, of course. I always have more to say. Frankly, that thread is so BORING that I only read the amusing retorts from my TD friends. I'm not even reading those anymore, unless of course, y'all talk about them here, and then I'll scoot over to see what you said. But please, people, can we let it drop? Do I need to start a Peter Reid thread on Open forum to distract people? Hey, there's a thought....

Oh! I get it! Took me awhile. Yeah. Sigh.

When the cougar was venting its spleen through my speakers, Ariel, the 17 year old grey fluffy beauty cat that honors me with her presence walked slowly toward me, with her ears flattened back. She stood next to my chair and I petted her. When the cougar stopped, she walked away.

Nanci, I just hope he loves you up when he gets home. L.

    Guns

I'm glad I live in the country and all, where people can do whatever they want, but I am SOFA KING sick of gunshots EVERY evening when I am out trying to enjoy the peace and quiet and birdsong. Third night in a row.
