Oh lord, that photo is a classic! Nothing like late 70s meets early puberty

I love the handsome-dudes in the back row, nr. 4 from left and farthest right. And the shell-shocked one farthest left in the next row I'm guessing he was friends with the Bill Gates lookalike 2nd from left in the front row. And look at the rebel in the denim jacket standing next to you! And those strappy sandals on the girl in the red dress in the front row... ooooh. Just beautiful.

Hey LPH, how are you doing? Do you still look all beat up like your avatar? I cringe every time I see it.

Mr, I bet you're regretting that tie now. The open shirt was much groovier with the leisure suit.

    Am I laughing now!

    Hmmm...the handsome ones:
Nr 4 from the left: Arrested for dealing drugs
Farthest Right: High School quarterback...last I heard, feel off the face of the earth after being released from prison for theft
Bill Gates Look alike: I just found him online...he's in a rock band in Austin Tx known for "take influences of blues, soul, alternative rock and punk with a garage approach." Hmmm...
Shell ShockedAlthough not photogenic, he was the class comedian and one of the most popular in high school as well...he WAS my best friend...and is now a mining engineer (with a substance abuse problem) in West Virginia...

I'll be glad to point out the really successful ones among the frumpy group... One is the food editor for Coastal Living, I recognize three doctors, three business owners

90% of this group was together for all of elementary school since there was just one class.

Forget the tie...I regret every picture taken of me in the '70's

Aw, thanks for asking. I look pretty much normal, just switched my avatar to one taken this past weekend. Skiing is so far the best thing I can do, it stretches my arm "just enough". Slowly, slowly, after a year it should be all normal.

To keep on topic, and since we're in the 70s - here's another one of me and my brother, 1979 I think. I was pretty cute back then, and I think he was too behind those awful glasses.

    Thanks for the followup, Mr.Silver

Oh, that's so much better! You look like you are climbing the Himalayas- so inspiring! Glad you are recovering.

If he took those off you couldn't tell the two of you apart.

lph, why was your hair straight back then? Isn't it curly now?

You were very cute! Glad to hear you're healing so well. I bet you'll be 100% sooner than a year.

i love the overall trashy 70s vibe of the photo. leather sandal in the background, shag rug, wood veneer dresser, beer ad, and baby just hanging out in a diaper, putting on her dad's dirty socks. i was having fun though. FYI... I grew into my chin. Hee Hee.

Aw, you were the cutest kid! Love that grin.

My hair was straight (and butt-length ) until I hit my early teens and my best friend and I decided we wanted to look like Anita Skorgan. We both went to the hairdressers, got our hair chopped off and permed. I was devastated that we didn't look anything like Anita Skorgan - and my hair never went straight again. It's just gotten curlier and curlier, and if my mother is anything to go by it'll end up frizzy. Heavy hair products here we go.

But hey - doesn't anybody have any platform shoes or truly big bellbottoms to show off? Don't we have any fashion slaves from the 70s here?

Here's a nice '70s pic. Check out the improper shoes. I was going to a wedding, and had forgotten the white sandals. My legs were not really that dark...it was the first time I ever wore panty hose.
