Hmmm, Brina, I will have to think on that.

I used to think it was bad to write X-mas, because you weren't using Christ's name, but then I learned that X actually referred to Christ in some way that I cannot explain right now (can't remember).

I came back in to say-

    I live in Redneckville!!

Off to the south- rooster crowing.

Off to the southwest- either shots fired or firecrackers- cannot differentiate.

    They alternate, and overlap.

    Errreerrr err err errrrrrrrrrr.

    Crack!

    Errr er errr er errrrrrrrrr.

    Crack! Crack!

I wonder if I drove the squad back into the back 40 if that would give me some peace and quiet.

Wait- that's what I love about the country- people can more or less do whatever they want, uninhibitedly.

Except when it bothers me and my bird!!

Totally! I still don't see her here.....

I'm back, btw - decided not to bathe FishFry - don't want him to catch a chill.

We have Everybody Loves Raymond on - it's the fly eating girl episode. Have you seen this one? It's hilarious! This is an episode for Nanci!

My neighbors were shooting off fireworks last night - some in the general direction of my house! Lovely. I would love to live on just a little bit of land.

If I don't finish the horrid Shiraz, can I have ice cream? (Ben and Jerry's Neopolitan Dynamite).

    Grog-

I live with a hammerhead. We were watching some tape of Bike Florida, the 10-day tour, and I'm like, oh that looks like so much fun and he's like, you couldn't pay me to go on that...

I say "That's because you don't _like_ riding a bike! It's just a means to an end. You like competing in TRIATHLONS."

Don't you hate it when people say "Tri-ath-a-lon?'

That kind of reminds me of "nuc-u-lar."

(Going to try Twin Peaks and Neopolitan Dynamite, since fishdr said that would be ok...)

(Can you tell BF is out of town???)

Me, too. Where in Tahoe are you going to be? North or South and where does the death ride go? Over what passes?
My parents are meeting us there and will kid sit for my hubby and I so we can go ride. This rarely happens as my parents live in Concord, Ca and I live in H*ll (Palm Springs). Hubby is English and his parents live in-you guessed it, England.
We will be in SLT, have a good trip.

"nu-cu-lar" drives me nuts! I tense up everytime I hear that!

How's the ice cream? I'm still gearing up for the pie. I think I need to let Mr. Fish have a turn on the computer.

Wow - I think Lise actually went to sleep. I'm impressed!

    Jones -

We'll be in South (I prefer North, but DR is out of Markleeville, which is just south of South LT off the 89 (I believe - could be the 88) ). We're at the Forest Inn (behing Embassy Suites, off the main drag but close enough to the super cool Sports Ltd. store (great outdoor apparel) for me! Are you riding the Flume Trail or whatever it is? (My MTB knowledge is a bit sparse, and I think you said you were MTB'ing.)

DR goes over Monitor Pass (down to the 395) and back up it and over Ebbet's pass (on the 4) and back over and finally up Carson pass. Beautiful ride!!

Have fun - enjoy the free babysitting. I know that's precious!!

When DH is out of town, I am a forum junkie.... Now he's just outside fixing up his bike for DR. New tire, fix a suspicious creak. What-ever. I'll have to go be social soon....
