    BikeJournal.com speed

A while back when we had the flurry of posts about bikejournal.com there were comments about the slow speed. Just thought I'd let you know that this thing screams now! I clicked the button to download my journal and immediately clicked on my email link -- file was already there. Faster than the speed of light!

I think the owner now has all the pages re-programmed and it really moves fast. He's got some kind of "premier" membership option coming. It will be interesting to see what it is.

Speaking of: we need to find our Team Captain and have her increase the miles. We've already posted over half her guesstimate and spring isn't really here yet for some of us. I'm thinking 25,000......30,000??
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

That would be me - I was just thinking the same thing. We are closing in on our goal in no time and it's not even the high season yet. What do you think, maybe 50,000? We've reached almost 6000 in a month. That's assuming we don't have new team members (com'on y'all, join up!!!)

Should we have a team logo? Anyone have any picture you'd like to upload (without violating registered trademarks)?

I wondered about 50,000 too......my problem was if we were close, I'm a middle child.....I'd kill myself to try and complete it! (no competition Here!) As for the team logo......maybe the Amici Veloci gals will let us use theirs??....make it a TE Team logo???

    Sadiekate etal....would that be ok?

I like SadieKate's avatar - maybe we could change the "Libra" to "Cycle" and use it!

I would be happy to help out, but since we are called Team Estrogen, let's ask Susan. After all, we are doing some free marketing for the TE folks. What do you think? Maybe she'll let us be the Team Estrogen CycleChix or something or other.

    Whoops!

I'm not half as smart as I thought! Our team logo (TE girl) is gigantic and fuzzy on the bikejournal.com website. I've asked Jeff if he can get me a higher quality image to use. Wouldn't want the other teams to laugh at us!

Visual: bunch of lil kids standing round in bike jerseys laughing and pointing at the TE girls! (think Little Rascals) and yes she is big and fuzzy - just like the hearts of everyone here!

Where did you see the big fuzzy photo? I went to the BJ club page and saw an "under view" space. Has this issue been resolved? I love the TE Jersey's gotta get one (soon's I lose another 30 pounds).

on another subject, I stopped counting indoor miles because of the Virtual RAAM Challenge - I wanted them to be all outdoors. For me this had a good side-effect. Not counting indoor biking miles shifted me to an eliptical trainer on rainy days and so I get in a weight-bearing workout.

I think she removed it. Used to look big and fuzzy like the logo for Amici Veloci that is still on bikejournal.com. One of these days I'll try resizing it to see if that fixes it.

I doubt that resizing the tatoo image would help -- it's small to begin with. otoh if you use http://www.teamestrogen.com/images/p...fabric_lrg.jpg this image which is large, you could downsize it and it'd look fine. But is that a copyright problem?

Out of... 15? I only input my mileage every few weeks, and will do an update tomorrow when I'm on my other PC. I find BJ navigation very confusing ... where are these stats located?

I had a hard time with enhanced stats at first too kim - I couldn't get it to display what I wanted until I realized I had to read all the columns first and "
change" them to what I was looking for! Doh! Did I feel computer challenged!!

Back now seems to be 95% better and now you kind ladies have led me to BJ (and the weather's cheering up ) motivation levels are soaring! This is great - I've always been a bit of a statto anyway. I've got a notebook with pretty much every ride in it I've ever done, with the same info I enter for BJ , so updating the website will be a breeze.

Lets get those miles in. What a top notch motivator..!!!
Welcome MM welcome! Glad to hear the backs feeling better! Isn't it fun seeing everyone on BJ! I've always been curious what most of you rode on the avg and now I know!....of course, I will probably always just be a Vestal (non)Virgin to most of you but I still enjoy slugging away at those miles and watching ya'll keep going up on yours!

There seems to be a problem with all clubs when you try to filter on women and that age group based on my random sampling of clubs.
