Guess what my mother got for her birthday from me this year?
Not only does this new girl (with the ponderous name Tarantella) love her new home, but she is getting along famously with the previously lonely other kitty.
the second photo is of their first meeting. No growls or hissing!

Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.
Aweeee..... Buddies at first sight!

yes, the new kitty has thumbs. 6 toes on each front foot and 5 on each back foot
Awwwww - very cute kitties, mimi!
My DD just adopted another kitten. Her original name was Lucille but she was flirting with everyone on the subway, and everyone was giving her so much attention that she has been renamed Lola, because.....well......"whatever Lola wants, Lola gets!"![]()

Oh, look. It's...raining. Huh. What a surprise.

Mimi, rescue kitty? They are the best!
yes, she's a rescue kitty. was never actually wild. They caught her mother and put her in a bathroom and she had 7 kittens that night.
and she's doing just great.
I'm with you Teigyr...made the mistake a few times in riding to and stopping and drinking at Redhook in Woodinville, then dragging my butt in riding like a slug back to Gasworks, muttering and wondering to myself why we didn't plan to finish the ride and stop at the Redhook in Fremont (now, Hale's Ales is the post-ride brewery stop of choice!)...
So, I recommend either starting at Redhook, so that we can end up there or start/finish at either Gasworks or in Fremont on the trail...then the "genie" issue is unnecessary - voila!
I'm ashamed (or is it proud?) to admit I have NO CLUE how to get to RedHook by car. Only by bike!
I like the idea of start-end at the same place during the colder weather.

when is this ride you guys are talking about? (even though I don't drink beer)
Don't think we've figured out that minor detail yet...![]()
Not til I get my Surly fixed, ok? I broke my right/rear shifter trying to pretend I was a wrench. I'm just about ready to give up on bar-ends and go back to good ol' downtubes.
Love the moostache bars, though.
(and I love my friction bar-ends, too... I just can't seem to put them back together right)
