    Tax return? What tax return?

I've taken the first dangerous steps toward Xtracycle ownership.

SKnot decided he wants to take over my Kona Dew. He doesn't want a new bike of his own, he likes the Dew and wants it.

    So I need a commuter.

Went to the LBS (which was very busy) and examined a Kona Smoke and had a discussion with one of the guys about turning a Smoke into an Xtracycle. There was an enthusiastic response on the part of both parties.

I didn't ride one as they didn't have one upstairs in my size, I didn't really have time at that point, and I didn't want to make the LBS dude go searching in the basement storage for one.

    But Monday I'll go back.

    Love that tax return...

Knot - New bike? Very cool!!

After my commute today I decided if it "takes" and I start riding daily...I'm gettin' a new bike! Now I have to decide between the Breezer Uptown 8 and a Trek 7.5, decisions decisions.

My commutermobile is going to become SKnot's bike, which he will take charge of.

I am thinking of getting one of these www.konaworld.com/bikes/2k7/SMOKE/index.html as my new commutermobile. It's steel, and it has juicy fat tires, comes with fenders, plenty of braze-ons, and a sqeaky horn.

Eventually I want to add one of these www.xtracycle.com so I can be the coolest mom in the carpool.

When ALL of my hair is steel gray and white, then I'll stop dyeing it. But right now it's uneven and looks odd, kinda washes me out.

Hey, I just rediscovered the joy of a buffing-block. I wanted to make my nails look clean and shiney for tomorrow. Man, just a few seconds with the block and you've got results! Instant gratification without any nail polish to mess up!

careful knot if you buff them to much it thins out your nails.

I'll be good. The block has 4 different strength sides, and the instructions say to only use the 3 rougher sides every 2 weeks, and the vinyl-like shining side once a day.

I'm not organized enough to do my nails even that much. But they certainly do look spiffy right now! (I'm sure I'll get the job offer *just* because I have neat and tidy nails.)

Very cool, Knotted. When it's your turn for the carpool, I can see you pulling up at the school, 3 teenage boys climb on the back of the xtracycle, one bassoon and a cello get strapped on the sides, and off you go, whistling merrily and sweating like a banshee. On second thought, maybe you need a bicycle rickshaw.

Best of luck with the interview tomorrow. You'll be fabulous.

Have a good week everyone. I'm off to play with my chainsaw in the woods tomorrow. Back for the NEBC women's group ride Tue evening.

TE TD, let's all remind Knott to take her nose ring out. They'll know she has one on the first day of work.

Lucky, happy, confident butterflies in red, yellow, orange, and a little blue to keep it balanced....You'll rock 'em!

I'm too tired to post much. DH and his partner placed 3rd in their race today. I've been up since 6:00, cooking, packing, doting, organizing, helping, rubbing soothing creams into sore muscles, getting people to the start line on time, teaching DH's team mate's wife how to be the support person, taking pictures, making dinner, unpacking, etc. Time for a shower and I'll pass out shortly after that I'm sure.

    More stories to come, probably.

    Hugs and butterflies,
    ~T~
