Thanks Mickchick. The ears of a german shepherd puppy are the best part of them.

    It's official - he's Rusty!

Lisa - B and I love the salamander. Very cool!

Sundail - thanks for the info. He marked the love seat this afternoon and the drinking has died down. He didn't eat much today though - MAYBE 3/4 of a cup of food (he's 27 pounds). Hopefully just an off day. And I won't be training him for therapy just yet. I took him with us because I didn't want to leave him alone.

He's a few more pix of the fam. B took him for a walk and they did great. Now they're watching Scooby Doo together - Rusy has his head on B's lap.

Darby I can't decide who is cuter, the new dog or your little boy!

Okay, so shooting snowboarding the other day, and while the roommates rearranged things my dogs decided to wrestle. So behold, another sequence of my vicious mutts.

Hank is so the Stinky Cheese Man! I swear he just looks so pleased that no one can, in his mind, catch him.

Woo! Lucky is getting some serious air time!

    Smack down!

It's always funny as can be to watch them play, but catching the shots is so cool! The freeze frames of what you don't see are pretty amazing. They make me smile so much!

Dar, I think you should rename Rusty Andy, because your son sure looks like Opie! Very cute indeed! It looks like they'll have no trouble bonding.

Smurf I love those shots - how do you get such good action shots? The dogs look so happy.

Rusty is in trouble for marking my furniture. I hollered at him and he went into my sons room and hasn't been seen since. Any ideas on how to deal with this? Other than that it's still going good.

I already got the first "aw Dar, why did you get another dog" from the folks. I'm so glad I have you pet loves who understand my love of furbabies.

Drs Foster and Smith sell a male wrap that should inhibit his indoor marking. Petco/Petsmart might carry something like this too. Sometimes neutering may help but it's not a guarantee.

He is neutered - now what? I bought a new hard plastic crate since Hoodini can get out of the nylon ones. I was up with that dog until 2 am!

Now work is requiring me to travel this Friday. Ugh. They're coming with me I think.

    Update on "Spot" the salamander:

Spot was successfully transplanted today to his new home deep in the woods, by a stream that leads into a nice big woodland pond, on Nature Conservancy land. The perfect location.

By the way, as I was releasing him, two burly guys with chain saws and Land Conservancy shirts came by and I explained what I was doing and showed them Spot. One of the guys said "I know you! You're the gal who rides around everywhere on a bicycle!"

Yay for spot finding a new home!
