Wausau is central, just north of Point. Appleton is east and Eau Claire is west. (hands on hips) Looks like it's time for a visit young lady.

Yeah, that's lame. I am pretty well against voter initiatives. We have way too many here in CA And this issue just shouldn't be legislated one way or the other for cryin out loud.

Thanks Mimi! The fans and the dehumidifyer are so loud. I have a nasty migraine and plan to drown my sorrows in Chinese food-lots of it.

It looks as though the insurance company is declaring my carpet a total loss.

    We will know more tomorrow.

    Jennifer,
Like mimi said, things will get better!
Even though it's a HUGE pain in the A** and couldn't come at a worse time, costs you money you may not have right now, upsetting, etc, try to keep it in perspective....it's just a piece of rug. Far less awful than a loved one having an accident or breaking a leg or something.
Put in some earplugs, have some warm milk and honey, curl up under the warm blankets and try to get a good night's rest. Things will seem less overwhelming tomorrow.

Queen-Thanks. I will be relieved when everything is over.

Lisa-you are right, in the grand scheme of life, there are far worse things that can happen. Yet right now, this is my reality and while it may not seem like much, it is a major life stressor for me and my family.

Yes it IS a huge and nasty stress! That's why I try to think of comforting thoughts for you to think instead....
We had a flood 8 years ago where they had to pull up all the carpeting and put those huge fans too, but all through the downstairs...things got back to normal faster than we thought they would.
