Just buy and I'll play bartender and set y'all up proper. Rum drinks like a Cabana Boy, a Beach Bum or the Cuba Libre, Grass hoppers, B-52s, Perfect Ladies, Dirty Girlscouts and Slippery Nipples galore. Maybe even a Sleazy Sex on the Beach or a Screwdriver (or the Screw Against the Wall) a screwdriver w/ grand marnier and grenadine...
What happens in WI stays in WI? Hey, you ripped that off.

    Dar,
I would love to come to WI. I am almost ready to run away. I have never had a chocolate Martini, X has mentioned them though.

Ah, reading. Lately my reading time is on BART, always carry a book with me. 'Cept right now it's technical manuals about electronics. I've decided to try the test for the technical jobs at big-mega-telco and rather than take up my weekends with the class....studying myself. Pass or fail I look forward to reading other things. I'll put that on my list.

Well, since Veronica says there is no good weather in California to be sent my way either, I went home at lunch and put tires on my old road bike and realized that I had an old saddle on it right now - don't know how long I can ride that saddle on the trainer - mmm we shall see.

It wasn't that bad - I just don't want to ride the trainer again for months
I hate this time of year.

I learned this weekend that the gal who I cannot stand is going to teach the Foundation Cycling spinning class this year - I just cannot stomach listening to her for a 75 minute class - she never shuts up and she is always talking about how she did something better than the person before her! Gag me

Ahh, such a funny girl, that Trek! But an interesting thought....especially after a few chocolate martini's I've been listening to lots of audio books lately in the vehicle. Now I actually look forward to the drive to and from work! But the Linda Armstrong book I read. Now I'm listening to Tuesdays with Morrie in the car and a book on organizing my life at home. Apparently, I'm debris challanged - how did they know?? Good luck with your test!

Duck, my apologizes on not hunting you down while you were here! I just discovered the martini bar in the last couple months - the perk there is no smoking allowed and there's always a cool 2-3 piece band playing. Very interesting clientel for central Wisconsin so I like the culture of the place.

BMo3 - anytime you want to run away you're welcome here. My oven works, the blender works, and I have two cuddley dogs who love to walk/run in the woods.

X - you are welcomed with opened arms as well! Everyone is. Heck, party at Dar's house and we'll just take a bus to the Martini bar

How about this? The last weekend of July I will need 3 volunteers to be on a 4 x 24 hour mtb race. The remainder of you will be crew and support personnel. At the end of the race, HUGE party for the next day or so for my 40th birthday. How does that sound?? Any takers??

Well, quoting it as I heard it.
X, you simply *must* stop mumbling so much. Can't hear a word you say.
You just know I'm always good for startin' sh*t.
*edited for the sensitive* "OH! Hey, look what I found!" (best way to change a subject...)
For Flaming B-52s, substitute a dark high-proof rum for the Grand Marnier. The higher alcohol content is required for igniting the flame. Filling the glass to the edge reduces the amount of glass exposed to the flames, making it less likely to break, but is easier to spill the drink. For that reason, combined with the risk of burning the hand, the glass should remain on the bar, and a straw is used to sip the drink. Once ignited by the bartender, the drink should be consumed quickly to avoid overheating the glass. Unless the flame is extinguished prior to drinking, a fireproof straw, such as one made of aluminum, must be used.
Dar- Wausau... isn't that kinda far east for 'central' wi? I was thinking Stevens' Point or Appleton or Eau Claire? My WI geography is getting messed up, though.

anyone see Transamerica, the movie? it was very good. This teenaged street kid orphan finds his real dad, someone ready to have a sex change operation, and discovered that this "freak" is the best, most rational and safe person in his life. It was very well done.
