I do not have tarot cards nor do I know how to read them. Sigh

I convert my keyboard to Norwegian, German, or Russian as needed. Do not need to do it often though, which is good as my computer skills are very limited as is my typing.

I am looking forward to the New Year. Maybe I will learn to type?

haha, guess it can't read them all.

BMO - why do you ever have a need to convert your keyboard to those other languages??

I just ripped apart my walkin closet apart. Ugh I have too much crap. DH is putting up a new bar. I hate those wire closest systems that builders automatically put up in new houses. You can only drag clothes about a foot because the 'bar' is in segments. Drives me nutso. So we took out the lower shelf system and replaced it with a regular wood dowel. Much simpled. Also bought a bunch of cube-type shelving for one end so my towels etc don't have to sit on the floor in the dog hair. Then I bought a big 3X3 cube shelf for the little guy's closet. Dh is so thrilled that I've found all these jobs for him to do over our two-week break.

What's everyone doing to celebrate tonight? I'm thinking about cooking a rolled turkey breast because we missed out on the leftovers this year. Has anyone done one? Can you make gravy? Might go visit some friends and play cards of something. God I'm getting old if that sounds fun. We have a few nice bottles of wine we've been saving too. And a bottle of late harvest that we bought on our last honeymoon.

Getting off the computer right NOW to make a big pan of baked spiced apples for dessert. We're heading to a friends house where about 10 of us are going to eat REAL homemade Mexican food and play oldtime music until midnight. Cozy!!

    Happy new year. everyone!

Oh man, I am so jealous of you. I wish we had some musical friends. DH and I enjoy singing and playing together but it would be so fun to play with a bunch of friends. That's my idea of a perfect new years... Can I come to your house?

I was "playing" my banjo yesterday and thought of you. Haven't picked it up in months. I love it but I pretty much suck. I need to play regularly I guess, duh...

I'm going to a friend's house for "stupid movie night" and watch Zoolander, then home to bed. I'll set my alarm for 11:55 so I can call my dear and wake her up and holler "Happy New Year!"

(Apples are in the oven cooking)....
YEAH you can come to our house!! Bring your banjo and I'll teach you how to fake your way through lots of fun music.
If anyone wants to sing Auld Lang Syne tonight- I posted the "easy" (non authentic Scottish) lyrics on the "Does anyone Sing?" thread. And those who are not together tonight- sing over the phone! (Knot, Trek?...) And don't forget to kiss your kitties TOO!!!!!
Gotta sign off and get ready to go......bye!!

CWR- Join us on Y!, we'll have a group newyear's... uh... maybe pacific time, though I'll try for eastern and alaskan, too. a few of us are in the same boat this new year's. getting to be a full boat.

BMo3- No kidding on the embarrassing typos. At odd times, I'll attempt to say *grins* but swap a d for the s. So close together. Leads to awkward moments. Yup, I'm happy. ...very, very happy.

X- hope you had a good time in the woods it always helps me find center.

today I'm going to go shovel out the compost pile I'd started on last year, today. Load it up and put it on the raised-bed garden I started, last year, today. tying up loose ends. bringing it all full circle. trying not to be as b!tchy as I want to be today. I know what ruby slippers do, but what if I clicked my docs together? I want out. thank god I'll get out soon enough.
