And I made Lifetime status at Weight Watchers.

Thanks in no small part to everyone who participates on this thread for your support and encouragement and accountability!

And many, many thanks to Possegal for running this challenge.

I'm so jazzed! I've been on WW twice before (both times online, didn't reach goal either time), and this time around I decided I was going to attend meetings, reach goal and become a Lifetime member come hell or high water.

As a Lifetime member, I can attend WW meetings for free and get free access to their online e-tools, just so long as I weigh in once per calendar month and I'm no more than 2 lbs above goal at that weigh-in.

So now I "just" need to keep the weight off. I'll still be participating in this challenge; I need the accountability!

143.4. WFT? I admit, I had some fried food while my parents were in town earlier this week. But I didn't have *that* many calories.

    106.5

Next week will be tough because we're traveling Mon-Fri and will be eating a lot of restaurant meals. Even though we have a lot of hiking planned, I am sure I'll still gain, and I won't be able to weigh in Friday morning, so will just skip next week's weigh in and jump back in the next Friday!

Ok, so I avoided the scales for a full week - which is something like a miracle for me. The planned weigh in at the gym for my body-fat loss group was painful.
    This morning I-just-had-to-get-on-the-scales.

    133.2

I feel like I've been eating massive amounts of food this past week and like I am eating every 5 minutes but still haven't been able to hit my caloric goals yet - but am much closer. Obviously one can't just jump 400-600 calories daily at one fell swoop!

I wonder why my weight has settled at 105.4. It feels like a weird # to me.
I'm exercising more and my weight is stable. DH is continuing to lose . However, he is riding longer commutes to work and has been doing significant mulching. I also think he is eating less carbs.

Why does that seem an odd weight Crankin? Just curious...tell DH that carbs aren't bad, our body does need them...though I am sure you've already had that talk.

Back down to 151 today. This is with the heavier full lower leg splint, too. Apparently my swelling has reduced significantly, yay! I'm also way more regular than I was last week too.

Next week, I'll be weighing in with my new hard cast on, so that'll be interesting. Today I'm taking measurements and body fat readings to track going forward. I don't know why I didn't think to do this 3 weeks ago, but whatever. Weight will be all over the place but measurements and body fat don't lie.

As long as your DH is weighing on the same scale, it must just be a very stable setpoint for you (and a fine one at that!)

A friend down here told us a story about one year when she and her DH brought their digital scale down in their suitcase -- they spend 6 months here and 6 months at their home in the US every year. She weighed herself often down here and was surprised to see the scale unchanging week after week. That would be a huge red flag for me, especially since she knew she was eating a lot more fattening food.

When she got back to the US and weighed on a different scale, she realized she'd gained 13 lbs. The scale they brought down had apparently broken and gotten "stuck" at her last weight!

But doesn't sound like that is the case with you. I just wish my scale weighed in single tenths of lbs. rather than 1/2 lbs, so it would be a little easier to track my weight fluctuations without them looking quite so significant.

Forgot to post my weight yesterday, it was 104.8 .

For the past month I have been doing an experiment with running a weighted average. I weigh myself everyday first thing in the morning. It is surprising how much my weight can vary from day to day. Weigh-in day, Friday, it was 104.8. Today, Saturday, it was 102.6. My weighted average is running at 104.2 right now. On a slight loss trajectory of a quarter pound a week which is basically flat. Which is fine with me.

Congratulations! Now that I am trying to maintain my weight I really see the value of the continued support.

It amazes me how much our weight can fluctuate over the course of 1 day, for me that is usually 4-6 pounds I HATE that...

Emily, I don't think my scale is broken. My weight fluctuates during the week, but has ended up at that number on 2 Fridays in a row. I was around 106.8 most of the week.
Catrin, it's not that DH eats no carbs. But, I eat more fruit. He seems to lose weight by doing household/outdoor work tasks, like the mulching, that I just don't do. Heck, the only household task I do is cook!
I'm just pissed that he can get his cycling miles in by commuting and I can't.
