Finally I figured out how to upload this picture.
Still a Macbook novice.
Beer was a pale ale or IPA, not sure if it was beer number 1 or 2.
Here's to all my friends at TE, cheers!

The latest B*tch Magazine has an article about women and beer. Apparently in every culture that has a myth about beer, it was given by a goddess to the women of the culture - and women were the primary brewers until mediaeval times.
The piece also talks about how the marketing is finally starting to come around to recognize that women actually do drink beer.
The article isn't online ... but it's at your newsstand now.![]()

Well one company is going that route. Some of it is big-company advertising that references and makes fun of the typical macho b00b-centered beer advertising. More of what the article talks about is the focus-group-driven kind of thing - labels that are appealing to both sexes; tasting parties and beer pairing dinners; company-sponsored social groups meant to attract women, etc.
It's a pretty interesting read (and despite my being removed from "pop culture" in many ways, I enjoy music, movies and books [as well as beer], and I usually read every issue of B*tch cover to cover).

I just got back from a trade show in Vegas. Don't like Vegas but saw good friends and got great jobs for next year!
I was so happy to see all the posts! And making it a tradition is a great idea!

I didn't get a chance to take a photo, but at our Thanksgiving, we shared a variety of the local winter beers. We had Widmer Brrr!, Full Sail Wassail, Bridgeport Ebenezer, and Oakshire Ill Tempered Gnome. (It was a several-hour gathering...) My favorite is still Brrr!, but the Ill Tempered Gnome was tasty as well.
Thanks for all the great information and support, TE! I am so glad to have found this forum. Happy Holidays, however you may celebrate them, and to all, a good ride!
