Welcome to the board blue, abuel, & kiwi.

blue: I saw your post on the Specialized Ruby - still hoping for pixs!

Abuel: just so long as the sock doesn't become the tree and the cat doesn't end up In the dishwasher, I'll think you'll do just fine!

Kiwi: nice to see another Kiwi on board - one of the countries I'm gonna get to yet darn it. Just as soon as I find me that rich man that wants a kept woman to help him spend his money!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

Or find a Kiwi on holiday and snag him. Then you can spend your cycling year split between summers in each hemisphere.
    (NZ men yummy).

It's quite novel reading this stuff and actually knowing what/where someone's talking about. I love that first view of the sea you get when you go clockwise around the short loop at Bottle Lake. Sheesh, I'm gonna make myself homesick if I'm not careful...

Welcome to the board Margie! I saw another one of your posts but wasn't sure if anyone had "directed" you over here yet. Since I was out of the country (gosh I just Love saying that....sounds so jet-setting doesn't it?! LOL) I didn't wanna repeat it and appear pushy!
Congrats on your new bike - ain't new bikes fun!! Who Knows, maybe some day I'll get a new bike too - oh wait....that's right I already have one, or two!!

Hope to hear more from ya!

Explanation of your handle: Before there was cycling, there was SCUBA.

Explanation of your (lack of) avatar: Avatar? We don't need no steeenking avatars! Oh wait, I DO need one! Let's see what I can dig up before I post again...

Age: 36, for a wee bit longer.

Favorite bike: The only one I have, but soon to be replaced if I make up my mind on what to buy.

What's in your stable? Schwinn Peloton, 4cm too big for me, but it got me started so I will be forever in its debt.

Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? 25.5mph on a straightaway sprint.

Another picture of yourself or your ride? Hope to have one soon!

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: Never have had much patience or tolerance for lying with myself or others. It's just a lot easier to tell the truth. Less to remember, and as the years roll by - that's important!

Most memorable moment on my bike: I've only been riding since July 2005 so every time I do something I didn't know I could do, such as completing 39.4 miles a few weeks ago, is a thrill for me. (You better believe that .4 is VERY important.)

Most fun ever had on a bike? Pretty much every Saturday when we can do longer rides. This past Saturday I saw an emu on a golf course! Now that's just weird. I think the emu was doing better than most of the folks out on the course!

Trekhawk - no emu pies here! Those funny birds are much more fun to watch. There are tons of ostrich, emu, and rhea farms around but I never have seen a bird loose on the course like that.

CM - Century?!? Seems miles away from today. I know I will be able to do it, but don't you think a nice shiny new ride would help me get there? Hey Santa, been a really good girl this year... um, sort of!

The emu only had his head stuck in the sandtrap. Mostly in denial over his score! Golf is way too frustrating, better to fly past the duffers at 18 mph, I say.
