So I get a bike ride.

Now I'll put in some bad words about how miserable I feel that I didn't get to hang out in the LBS and that my beloved is languishing, yearning for new stem and bars.
Maybe I should post pictures of my two (count them, 2) beautiful Cinelli quill stems (80 mm and 100 mm) so that Knotted can drool. But then her iBook keyboard might get all gunked up with drool, and they don't make iBooks any more. So that's a bad idea.

DebW - do it anyway. I'll lean away from the keyboard.

Drop bars are better than flat bars because it gives you more places to hang your laundry.

Flossie looks very festive with my wildly colored underwear draped all over her ears.

I love it. The multipurpose bike. Mine only gets that treatment in my office with shorts and jersey (no undies).

Ooh - green SB bar. I wish I would've picked one of those up. I did get a brown bar and a blue bar. Yummmmm. I still have a few of the pieces left from the box that BikeGoddess gave me. I'm savoring them!

MP - I was wondering when you were going to let the doc in on the marathon

I just got back from my first ride in one month! My legs felt suprisingly good and I rode at about the same pace as usual. I think it was these great new shorts I bought when I was shopping with MP in SF! Sadly enough - this was my first test ride with them. Unreal! Life gets busy, doesn't it?

    Effffffffffffffffffffff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I'm in the house, reading about the cougar, because I can't just sit out there and read the super-boring French Revolutions, oh, no, I have to come in for more blackberry wine and more cold pork tenderloin, though I haven't even eaten dinner yet, (FATTY!!!) I go back out, and a freaking feral cat is two inches away from Dillbird, on my patio! Oh, I wish I had a gun...Never happened before. Zero tolerance for feral cats. No more leaving my bird unattended. I feel almost as violated as when some loser tried to break into our house a year ago...

...What's this about Knot's multi- use underwear???

    Ahem!

I get my jacket tomorrow... it came in the mail this morning, and the landlord picked it up (they get the mail and packages first, as they're the 'official' address owners) but I saw the package sitting on their table (no one was home, though) so I've gotta wait.

Doing 'om's to try to settle down before the big evac drill tonight. The whole plant- evacuated. EEK! My mgr and his mgrs will all be there, so I can't screw up... not that I think I would, but it's really intimidating.

Then the interview early tomorrow... hoping that works out well. No reason why it shouldn't, right? ...right??? 2nd interview, so I made it through the 1st... just keep doing what I'm doing.

I'll be happy to make the bike to my optometry appointment after that, though... it'll help me chill. Excited to get contacts again after years of not having them... then I can use my nice glasses and maybe not tear up as badly as I go down hills/into wind/below 50F! =D That and wearing goggles at the pool and actually being able to *see*.

oh no no no, Flossies sole purpose in life is:
    * on the bike rack as bike porn.
    * keeping you happy.

You can't hang laundry on a steel n' Campy bike Have we taught you nothing?!? :::sigh::: Maybe an AV jersey, that's it.

Margo49 - another clue! (20 yo's don't usually talk about not having something for "years"...)

Thanks for the anagram website - had a lot of fun there. Ended up having to pick something today before the newsletter went to print so we chose the first name of one of the characters in the play. I am now AKA Ms. Loretta Star... Go figure...

Nanci - yikes, scary that a cat almost got poor Dillbird!!

I need somewhere to hang my clothes. Maybe I should bring the bike up into the bedroom?
