    Here's another way to enjoy a Tim Tam or two or three or even a whole packet - Gently bite a corner away (to expose some of the biscuit) and do the same to the diagonal corner. Dip one of the bitten corners into your coffee and then suck the other bitten corner (much like you use a straw) and then consume the Tim Tam. Bet once you try this you won't be able to stop. This works well with the original and dark chocolate varieties. I'm from down under and whenever there's a special on at the supermarket I unfortunately weaken...it's worse when I go shopping when I'm hungry.

    They're on special this week!

    Dammit! They were on special when I did the groceries the day before yesterday and DD just HAD to have a packet since DH had already bought one earlier in the day and eaten them ALL (without sharing any with me I might add).

    So they are just sitting in the fridge looking at me! I will NOT weaken!

    Mint slices are my downfall... I don't have any in the house & like to keep it that way for a while. Mint slices seem to call me from the freezer...

    I am SO with you there. I have not weakened - the Tim Tams are still intact in the fridge. Everybody raves over them, and I enjoy them well enough to have one here or there, but a Mint Slice is my real downfall. Ooooooh... Mint Slice..... No wonder I don't have them in the house except when our Canadian mates come to visit!

    Was grocery shopping this morning. Saw a display of TimTams, but only two kinds, caramel and chocolate creme.

    So I bought three of the chocolate cremes, one for the kid's stocking*, one for my stocking, and one for Christmas brunch.*

    I don't know whether to say "Thank you!" or ask "Did you HAVE to tell me about these?!?!"

    (Thank you! They will make an interesting addition to the kid's stocking.*

    Have to agree that Mint Slice is my weakness over a tim tam from the freezer remind me of summer days after school in Northern South Australia. US Customs accused me of being a commercial importer last time I took a box as carry on!

    The one I had were made in Australia, so I would suspect that only the name outside changed (Pepperidge Farm and Arnott's are both owned by Campbell's soup)

    The running family conducted a very scientific taste test of sorts.. The "arnotts" from world market are FAR superior to the blather that Pep farms is trying to foist on the american public as a "tim tam".. It's not. Sorry folks, gotta get the real deal arnotts.
