We used to have a large poster of that hanging in the womens bathroom in the bike shop.

Now that I think of it, I don't know where it went....

    PG Rating Lance naked

It definitely is a great shot Years ago, there was also a poster with Marla Streb on her mtn bike like this. IT was on the cover of Outside magazine, and just about everywhere in the industry at that time. Looks like the camp for Lance thought it was a great idea as well.:

Yep, it's the very same 'shocking' photo that was DELETED from TE when you posted it....apparently too horrifyingly vulgar for some ladies who promptly complained about it to the powers that be.

Yes, that's it. It seems that they are very similar, at least in the layout and thought behind the pic.

I think the Lance one came first - wasn't it Annie Leibovitz? It's at least 10 years old.

    where's the fur?

Beautiful shot, body of a god, but not hot. Pale skinned guys should have some visible body hair. I know its done in the service of his greatness, but I find manscaping generally distasteful.

I wish I could remember the name of the Norwegian chickie in my avatar...

Maybe photoshopped, certainly funky lighting, blatantly copying the Lance photo, but I really like it.

This one of Jessi Stensland is awesome, not least of all because she has clothes on and it isn't posed... http://www.strangesports.com/images/content/140101.jpg

All the pros shave their legs - and not all men have an appreciable amount of back hair, particularly those under 40.

I'm not a big fan of the shaved-and-oiled look either (and I found those Bowflex commercials hilarious, with the hairy pudgy befores and the shaved buff afters), but that shot doesn't look unnatural to me.
