I wouldn't be going if we hadn't stumbled on the website accidentally. We're not a "viable market" for advertising. BNL is my and my son's favorite band. There will be other bands, too. OMG, when we booked there were only 5 artists, and now there are 17!!

    Barenaked Ladies
    Guster
    Great Big Sea
    Gaelic Storm
    Carbon Leaf
    Oakhurst
    New Odds
    Jason Plumb
    Howie Beck
    Sarah Perrotta
    Sarah Harmer
    54 Seconds
    Brian MacMillan
    Thin Buckle
    David Aiken
    Debra DiGiovanni
    Boothby Graffoe

It's crazy--I'm not that into music although I like to listen to all kinds when it's presented--I've never heard of anyone on this list except BNL. I bought a Guster CD just so I could see what they were like. There's not going to be any time to go ashore with all these acts to hear!

There are still cabins--you could cancel yours and go on ours!

    Frustration

Warning: This may be TMI, bowel related.

I've been having trouble with my stomach for about a week--gassy, painful, and not able to "go". I was considering maybe even gall bladder trouble because of pain. Also I had my period and that usually clears things up, but it didn't. Yet, I got down to 183 last week. Because of the bowel trouble I re-evaluted my diet (too many potatoes, but I was PMSing) and made sure I had some more salad and oatmeal. I upped my water, too.

I worked out hard yesterday. I cleaned the house, and shopped and was up all day. I only went over my calorie goal by 50--even with my son's birthday cake. The last few days, very good numbers. This morning, let's just say my bowel troubles were over in a big way.

    My weight? 184.8!

I know I know I'm not supposed to weigh every day. Some people say do, some don't, I've tried it both ways. At this time I feel I have to focus focus focus and that's part of the focus. Very annoying that I'm up almost two pounds!

On a hopeful note, my measurements are down over all since the last time I measured, and I'm sure they still are. Hope tomorrow is better.

    Karen -
Just a thought here - I am ALWAYS up a bit the day of and the morning/afternoon after I work out hard like you said you did. I had someone (one of the infamous "they", I suppose) say that the muscles are requiring more oxygen and water to promote the healing process and therefore we gain "weight" I lost a large amount of weight at a center that was right next door in a small plaza to a women's gym. The women would come in to the WLCenter, weigh, go next door, work out, and come back in and weigh. They would be up anywhere from 1-3 pounds.

Anyway... back on track here. Boring meetings make me want to eat. And of course to try to make all the depressed staff happy, my boss loads up our work tables with candy.

So, while I'd like to lose a few pounds. I'd really like to just make it through this week without eating too much junk.

    Small, simple, attainable goals.

What day are your meetings? We expect a good NO CANDY report, young lady! There will be another test on this!!!!

Next to BNL, Guster is the only other band on the list that I know...and I LOVE them! If you are a BNL fan, I think you'll like Guster, particularly some of their older stuff. It's awesome! You are going to have so much fun!!

Can I be in and not post my stats? Honestly, they're too embarrassing I would, of course, promise to write them down in *ink* in a notebook, and honestly report the losses

This is, however, a great idea! Since the time changed, there's way too much temptation to curl up on the sofa when I get home and it's dark rather than going for a walk or a ride...Plus all of the holiday candy is just starting to arrive in our office. All of our Admin Assistant stands currently have little piles of candy on them that I have to walk past to and from the bathroom - and the kitchen to get water - and the hot water machine. *sign* Temptation is everywhere

You surely don't have to post your stats to do this, there is no way that I want to embarrass anyone. Stay away from that candy today at work and welcome to the challenge!

I can't find a cloth tape measure, and it's just too weird to use my others, so I'm going with my last waist measurement was 27, and my weight this morning, according to the FedEx scale is 132. Hope to be 122 by the holidays.
For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.

    Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Today's victory - I did a Spinervals tape this morning - Ultra Full Body. My knee isn't ready for any big chain ring work, so I stayed in the middle and 15 for all the tempo work. Spinning at 110 gets your heart rate up, lemme tell ya! I also fast forwarded through the lunges. My knee is better, but I'm not going to push it too hard yet.

Wow, that's good to know!!! I think things are flowing pretty well, now. I'm back on the straight and narrow diet as of yesterday.

No need to post stats, but you know...being brutally honest helps.

I'm having trouble with the time change, too. I went to bed at 7:30 last night! Of course, I awake around 5:30 every morning anyway (and I don't even have to because I don't have a job). I slept all the way through until 5:00 this morning.

OTOH, I was happy that it was daylight when I came out of my fitness class yesterday morning at 7:00 a.m.

Finally found the tape measure! Here's my stats:

    Weight - 163
    Bust: 38
    Chest: 33
    Waist: 32
    Hips: 40
    Thigh: 26.5
    Calve: 14.25
    Bicep: 12

That's what I've been tracking on the South Beach board. I don't expect the chest measurement to go down much and I measure my calves and biceps out of curiosity more than anything. Most of my weight is hip, rear, thigh so those are the ones I'd love to see drop!

Didn't mean to go overboard on the whole "contest" aspect. I just thought it may motivate people more if there was a prize at the end. Either way is awesome with me!

Time to get going. I ride on Tues, Thurs and some Sat with the club I'm in and I NEED to get out on my bike!!

    Lora
