    BikerZ's Seven - actual photos!

I love, love, love this bike!

On the rides this last weekend, I wasn't scooting all over the place trying to get comfortable on the saddle - in fact, I now know what all you people mean when you say "the saddle disappeared". Wow. That what the proper fit can do - I am finally in the right position relative to the saddle and pedals.

The bartape is exactly the color I wanted (Fizik). It's not quite a "cushy" as what I had before, but hasn't bothered me so far. The bars are a little lower than on the Specialized Sequoia, but I feel pretty comfortable there, and that has been the general trend for me.

Chris at Robinson Wheelworks (my LBS) did a great job getting the fit specs and building up the bike - I am as pleased as can be!

It took me a while to get photos I liked of the bike, but here they are:

Now that you are reporting success with saddle comfort, may I say "told you so!"

PS -- MelissaM, good job at pushing her.

    DROOL........

Beautiful bike. What is your gearing? How come XTR derailleur? Do you have a weight for the complete build?

    Just curious...

EDIT: Just read all about it on the other thread. Still interested in the weight of the bike, but I know about the gearing now. Guess you want to go climb some serious hills!!!

Oh, it was really not problem at all, because:

    1. I'm pretty good at spending $$, especially if it's not mine
    2. BikerZ wasn't that resistant to spending the $$

Seriously, though, it is a beautiful bike and suits BikerZ well. First ride on it, and she makes it up Jobob's Nemesis Hill. Pretty darned good, even if it was climbing under duress. (Doncha just hate it when you can't unclip, so you gotta keep pedaling up the hill? )

Oh, oh. Folks had better be warned not to go shopping with the two of us together then!

Oh, I don't know about that. I think we could be the TE Personal Shoppers and help all the folks who are ambivalent about various bike/apparel/equipment purchases.

OTOH, if the two of us go shopping together, we might encourage each other to spend a LOT of money. Now that could be very dangerous indeed!

Sorry, BikerZ for the slight thread hijack.

Let's see if I can get this back on track...That Seven is sure pretty! Where's its next major ride going to be?

    I'm soooo glad!

While talking with you, I always got the impression that you LOVED cycling but didn't LOVE your (old) bike. Congratulations! And I'm glad you didn't settle on something else, you got exactly the bike you would love! Yeah!!!

Very nice. Many happy miles ahead for you.

    What were those handlebars again??

Is that front wheel a 650, or does the angle of the picture just make it look smaller than the rear?

Oh...and what's the range on the cassette? With a 24 low up front, it looks like you'd be able to scale the Alps while seated with that bike! Kewl!!!

    Congrats again....
