Well I am retaining water like crazy due to the heat and not being able to use my flexitouch due to non-sufficiant AC. OMG I just got a call they are coming out on Monday to fix my AC!!

ANyway with all that said and done I am at 150.4. I am sure I have at least a couple more lbs of fluid.

Yay Roxy, I'm glad you had a good time!

On the weight front, I'm down 0.5 lb to 155.5

Gahhh. I was hoping to be able to very happily announce that starting Monday I'd be down a lot more weight, because I'd get to take off my back brace for good (err, of course I've been weighing myself without the brace on, but you get my drift).

But I just heard from my neuro Dr, and, nooooooooooo, he wants me to keep wearing the g-d brace until after my final CT scan on Monday and after I see him for what I hope to be our final appt, which is not until freakin' July 8.

I am not a happy camper. <-- see?

Bah, I'm cranky and I want a beer. Now, dammit, not in an hour.

Oh Jobob that stinks! I can't imagine. I was in a knee immobilizer for 6 weeks years back and I couldn't wait to get that off. A back brace would be that times 1000 in the annoyance factor. Here's to a great CT and a beer ASAP.

I love reading everyone's stories. The success inspire me, the frustrations make me feel a bit less alone in the battle. Thank you all for sharing!

140.6 - I think that's the same. I've started doing intervals on my bike 4x a week. I've heard that intervals can sometimes break through a weight loss plateau. We'll see

Slightly down - 152.9 lb Posting weight is OK, but measurements.....eek! I have more incentive to lose now. Got an invitation to a "formal" wedding. Have no "formal" attire, so have until Nov to lose at least a few pounds (dare I say "my goal weight") so I can find something non-stretchy that will fit, feel good on and look OK. This yo-yo-ing will have to stop!

For the past three days, I've been weighing in at 141.

Not totally sure if it's "real" weight as it doesn't seem I could have gained that much that fast given that I haven't seriously fallen off the wagon or anything.

I also did just get a new scale which seems more accurate than the old one (measures in .2 lb increments and when I weigh myself three times in a minute, it gives me the same response each time, unlike the old one, which could never really settle on a weight)...

    Still, .

I did not do very well on this challenge, and am trying a whole new approach. I am following the Normal Eating for Normal Weight book, and also joined the group on their website normaleating.com. I am fed up with losing .5 pound, putting on 2, losing another .25, and doing this over and over. I am also tired of eating just because it is 7 AM, and I might get hungry in the next hour, but I am not really hungry now. I realized that I have no idea what hunger is anymore, and how little food it takes to be satiated.

I cannot recommed this book enough for anyone who has struggled with weight issues for a long time, like myself.

I went on vacation and didn't weigh in the week before and this week will be my last weigh in for awhile. I'm still nursing an injured knee and I've had to cut my rides. It's frustrating. One week I'm doing fine and then all of a sudden something quits working right. I guess I'm at the age of mechanical failure.

158 lbs at the end. Big fluctuation during the last 2 months due to mainly traveling and bad eating habits/possibilities when not at home. I am ready to change that in the next challenge!

Thanks Possegal for keeping the log!

Although I didn't lose the weight I wanted to, I did achieve a major success: I've managed to get my snacking and junk-food habit under control and am back on a real foods diet with lots of veggies and lean proteins. As long as I keep this up, I know I will eventually achieve my goals.

Looking forward to the July/August WL challenge.
