    Audrey:

Hopefully we'll see you at the beginning - at the ride start. I'm riding with Tracy and Nina and we plan on starting same time as you - around 6:30.

that's what i have to do.... if i go too fast trying to keep up with someone faster... i'll burn myself out so i can't finish... go too slow and i'm in the saddle longer than my tushie can stand! i have to go MY speed on these long rides! and that's what i keep telling everyone! go YOUR PACE! don't ride someone else's ride! if that means you can't stay together as a group... than so be it... but in the end... you will finish your ride cuz you paced yourself!

if i feel myself getting tired at 50 miles... i know to slow down... so what if people pass me! if at 80 miles i have a burst of energy... then i take advantage of that too!

i would feel really bad if i heard someone ended up not finishing cuz they pushed too hard trying to ride someone else's pace cuz they felt "bullied" or "guilted" into it!

Wish I can decide what I'm wearing so you all can look for me. Just haven't decided yet. Hopefully will by tonight and post. I thought I would wear my BCI jersey but it makes me look fat(ter) - trying to find something that slims me down as much as possible. I do know I will have have black bike shorts... yeah like that'll help you!

Well I'm in the middle of the 'I haven't a thing to wear' mind right now and thinking that maybe I should buy a new jersey. I will have my arm warmers, black and my martini glass socks for sure. I will probably bring my bright green/yellow shell cuz I hear it is a bit cool in the am. It is so lite I can stuff it in my back pocket. I have a blue helmet with happy face stickers on it.

i'd probably be hog tied and quartered (and all sorts of other bad stuff) if i tried to say "i don't have a thing to wear" on this board! lol!

(i think i'll be up to 75 or 76 when i pick up my CB jersey!)

my biggest problem is i've worn all my FAVORITES to rides! (and dealing with the tanline issue of short sleeves)

    My outfit has been finalized

    Martini socks
Nike sleevless top, dark grey in middle, pink on the sides
Pink headband, don't think you'll be able to see it, but thought I'd mention it
    Black/orange Giant
    Sarcastic grin
Big rear end, (wearing black sheebest shorts)
    Green/yellow sleevless jacket
    Black armwarmers
    Black gloves
I know this doesn't all match, but I'm into comfort

I am gonna try to start as early as I can, but will wait for friends

Audrey - you should be easy to spot...

OK so I'm between two jerseys - if it looks like the temperature is going to be above 75 - I'll wear my Terry Butterfly sleeveless jersey (red/orange/yellow and blue) with the Bolero to start. If temperatures are cooler I'll be in my Terry Rosarita (red/pink/purple). My red and grey helmet. You all know what I look like - large and in charge!!!! Big and fluffy. Easy to spot in a crowd.

Glad you're gonna be able to make it! I would love to meet you... let us know where you end up staying Friday... I'm going to be at the holiday inn express at Ventura Harbor and plan on picking up all my stuff Friday night.

I also plan on being on the road by 6:30 so if you are starting early, look for me... I'll most likely have my black windbreaker on w/a dark grey/silver helmet and I'm riding a black roubaix comp with yellowish bar tape (its the most distinctive thing on my bike )... I also have a topeak handlebar bag that's pretty easy to spot...

I'll watch for you in the morning!

Thanks you guys! I'll look for you!

Made hotel reservations tonight for tomorrow's stay. I'll be sleepin' at the Best Western Inn on E Thompson Blvd. Looks like it's pretty close to the start area. If anyone needs a place to crash friday night, let me know. You're welcome to stay with me.

Hope everybody had fun. Brandy, Make sure Voltman gets a chainring tattoo. I'm going to see if I can do some hiking, and My boss want me to learn a new programming language(actually two), so I'm going to spend the week becoming a Java aficionado (the Language, not the drink!)
