And now we all know WHY you can't seem to stay away. How fortunate you are to have such a supportive and downright human LBS. You're so right to be figuratively shouting their name from the rooftops.

Thanks for the positive bike shop story... this is why I believe in supporting the "little" shops - the super mega stores would not have been so cool. Tell those guys the TE gals think they are wonderful!

well, there's another reason to buy a bike at a LBS instead of some big department store!

I have to agree with you!! I also love Team Cycling and Fitness!!! I bought my Trek 1000 WSD from there in July and they could not have been better! They are so nice and they never made me feel stupid for not knowing anything about cycling. I hope to go on one of their monthly rides one of these months!

Forgot to tell you Susarific - TC&F is having a Women's Night this Thursday. Free stuff, food, drinks, door prizes and the girls from Trek will be there! Go to their website and RSVP. Starts at 7 (I think). Email me if you can't figure it out.

Thanks everyone for letting me share my story. This shop is truly amazing. Family owned. Dad with his two sons ages 21 and 20. The nicest bunch of guys I have met in a long time. I have a few ideas in mind on how to repay them for their kindness.... Funny someone mentioned cookies, I bought them pizza two days before Geoff gave me my new wheels! Food = free stuff!

Thanks for your story. I too agree- our local bike shops are the best!!!!

The bike shop where I bought my Scott Carbon bike last year has always treated me with respect and kindness. feel like family when I go in as they all know my first name. This is in contrast to the shop where I got my Jamis 3 yrs ago. Some of the people still know me, but I don't get the same kind of welcome or service. I was in there yesterday and walked out empty handed.

By contrast, when I go to the smaller shop, I seldom leave without spending something! Needless to say, it is important that we all support the family owned shops when we can!
