    I use the map here:

    http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/Maps/SF_Bay.html

You can click on each event, and it also does the same reporting thing that laugh's link does. I just filled out the form for the 5:50 quake.

Party at Treks, I have water stockpiled.

Dr Scott also once told me...these little clusters, not to worry about but when we have clusters of 5.0+ ..... time check the batteries, change your water stockpile and get everything on:

If I can make it to your party, I'll bring the MREs. I had a friend visit from Scotland earlier this year and he said it was the only time he'd visited anyone who had included emergency suppies in the grand tour. But they, these are interesting times...

I know what I'll be doing over the long weekend (besides riding I hope) is working on the earthquake supplies. Not to politicise the thread but the lesson of Katrina is "you are on your own"

I don't see that as political, just reality. As good and well prepared as the emergency service agencies are here in California, they're gonna get overwhelmed in a really big disaster - there's just too many of us. I'd much rather have all I need to be self-sufficient for a few days and just stay out of everyone else's way!
