Hey nothing like a 75 mph tailwind to get you places I am actually going to be in FL in a week or so, in Naples. Though I don't think I'll be doing much biking.

I think the cough has passed so no pneumonia or anything for me this time. My right knee was bothering me quite a bit, but is better. So I think I'm recovered. Slept a lot.

Lise, yesterday was just ridiculous. Grant it it was cool, but when the sun was out I was like oh come on. Hey at least today it got back to how it's *supposed* to be around here. I haven't gotten to cleaning my bike yet, so not like I'd be riding today anyway. I got a new bike stand for Christmas that I'm going to get to try out to de-worm, de-grime and de-pebble my bike with. Tasty. Glad to hear you found some deals at Performance. I try not to go in there too often because then I'd be poor.

Bikeless - What part of WI are you in? The ride I was on started in Delavan, went west and north past Madison to Lodi. Turned around and headed back. I caved when I was in De Forest. Good call on staying indoors. It was heinous out.

Good effort, Beta!! Sounds like atrocious conditions and that stinks when your bike's not working and you're afraid you're doing more damage to it by riding.

Are you thinking of the other 300k next weekend?

beta--seriously?--worms? One of the things I bought at Performance is a chain cleaner dealy. I don't have a stand. I'll probably just take the Larkspur out on the cement patch in back of my building, and practice. It will feel good to care for her like that. L.

Beta Girl- And we thought we were suffering the 90 degree weather yesterday! Thanks for the write-up. Yes, you did do the right thing.

Re cleaning- My best cleaning solvent so far has been Simple Green. It will get all of the gunk out of your derailleur as well as clean up your chain! I just use a about 1/4C in a bucket of warm water. It's biodegradable, so environmentally friendly as well.

Keep us posted on your next adventure! You guys are really getting it out there!

If Simple Green is environmentally safe, does that mean it won't hurt the worms?
