OK. I've added my 43 miles. Now I'll have to get my bike assembled so I can go out and ride some more.
(I'd add some for all those hours in spin class, but wouldn't know how to guesstimate them, and then too ... what're the ethics of that?)
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

I'm already with another club on Bikejournal. I have also joined TE on BJ today. I don't see how to add my bulk miles to TE, however. I see that you can move your miles, but I don't want to do that because I want to keep my miles with my other club, too.

Any suggestions? I have nearly 800 miles this year so far. I had planned to do a 50-miler today, but got caught up working in my garden and just could not stop! The bulk of my miles come from my 28-mile round-trip commute.

Looks like we'reup to number nine.... I rode in the 49 degree rain today and I'm still trying to figure out when it's going to be uncomfortable. Maybe it's just the Xtracycle but it was still fun! I have to drive the car some tomorrow 'cause I'm cat-sitting an elderly feline who needs many trips to the vet

.... and I got a camera for my birthday! (this isn't from it, though). Soon as I figure it out...

I added my 21 miles to the total. Only 429 more until I meet my goal

A few of my coworkers and I are thinking about forming our own team as a lark: The Redshirts. But not many people understand the Star Trek reference

Starfish: the choice is yours my friend. I didn't know about TE or BJ when I first started riding but I added the bulk miles just as soon as I found out. We'll take whatever miles we can get!!

and Geek: ROFLMAO about the Red Shirts.....oh yes - you will find quite a few Tek-Heads on this board. My only question: when the Red Shirts go for a ride, how ya'll gonna pick which one doesn't come back?.....I mean since ya'll will be a Red Shirt?

I guess we figure there's more safety in numbers.... and since we're not taking any command-level officers with us, we're probably safer than most of our counterparts

Of course, we've all accepted that we're expendable, so I guess we'll just draw straws if it comes to it

I added all my miles last night! I didn't know if I should add from the beginning of the year (as Starfish asked), but I did. Glad too see we made it to the top 10.

I love the name -- but I'm not sure I'd like the fate of being a Redshirt. Maybe you have a promotion after X miles and get a blue or a yellow shirt, or more notches on your collar

#9 eh? I never look at our stats! But, I've got some more miles to add too as soon as I figure out elevation gain on one ride and MPH on the other. So that means we'll have 81 mores miles from me!
