That's 2005. Nice elevation profile! I started out being very concerned about the routes- but the typiclly weren't published until the week of the ride. Then I would carefully study them on yahoo maps turn by turn, and plot them on google pedometer.

9. Helmet and Mirror and Helmet Light

12. Gloves (Two Pairs)

14. Shorts (and knickers if chilly, winter tights if cold)

16. Shuffle or Nano
17. Zip locks (for maps, cue sheets, money, brevet card, waterproofing phone, camera in emergency, keeping clothes dry in the rain)
18. Cell phone (waterproof case if rain likely)
19. Rain Gear- jacket, pants, toe covers, helmet cover
20. Sunglasses (sometimes case, usually I tuck them in my aerobars when not wearing)
21. Reflectors (Ankle and Arm)
22. Snacks: bars, choc milk, sushi
23. Sport Beans
24. Road ID
25. Money for along the way
26. Map/Cue Sheet/Card
27. Sunscreen
28. Bike Lock
29. Trunk Bag
30. Head Lights (second set if needed)

I know, I know. Weather will be the determining factor. DH was a bit stunned last night when I told him about the specifics. I assured him I have a back up chaperone if I run into trouble (he and the kid will be out of phone range and my friend Holly has agreed to be on phone standby. She does employee assistance for Wells Fargo - bank robbery counselling, etc., so she'll be good if I need brevet SAG counselling.).Originally Posted by Nanci
