My friend Theresa (who happens to be Spazz's neighbor) and I had dinner with the S'dog last night.

I also brought over Spazz's DSL self install kit, she should be back online soon.

We'll know more late Sunday night but unloading party looks like either Tuesday or Wed. If It's Wed I can deffinately get the day off, Tuesday's a little iffy.

I be here, my pooch be here... the moving truck be somewhere in the middle of the U.S.

And i got my DSL up and running... so there ya go. Thx to BG for the call this afternoon; good to hear from you. I'll let the board know when the trucks hittin' town... looks like either Tues or Weds. Will know more late Sunday night.

Am taking long walks with Quid around town, gets him acclimated to all the new noise and is helping my muscles remember how to move. By the time my bike gets here I ought to be able to go round the block a few times

    See y'all! spazzdog

OK, just talked to Spazzdog, the truck will arrive Wednesday, he might even be there Tuesday night and open up the pod bay doors at 7am.

Welcome to CA, Spazz and Quidditch! Hope you're getting acclimated and your stuff arrives in one piece! I wish I could come and help you unload. My kids are still in school this week, so no can do, I'm very sorry to report. Are you going to be at the Benecia ride on the 25th? I'll be there and am hoping to give you a hug in person!

    Exclamation Emergency! Desparate for help...

Anyone in the area of Oakland, Piedmont Ave @ Yosemite that can spare their morning, I really need unload help - 7 AM to 11 AM on Weds. morning.

I will owe you for life. Frankly, the load cost double what I expected due to some labor scheduling problems and the funds are spare so I can't afford to hire labor. The more folks that can come the faster it will go and everybody can get back to the more fun aspect of California life

Please, please, please bring any body that can lift anything... thanks in advance.

PM me or Trek420 for address and phone #.

No volunteers yet... am feeling very unloved

Doesn't anybody want a morning upper body workout? There's a parking lot right next door so you don't even have to hunt down a space... coffee, bagels and Tiger Balm on sore muscles to all who come

    spazz-o-beggin'

p.s. if you have kids, bring them. They can run around in back (no yard but a big asphalt parking area for tenants)

Hi Spazz - well - I've been trying to postpone a client meeting, but no luck so far - I'm going to be stuck all day Wednesday at work. . If it changes at the last minute I'll be there, but I'm not hopeful. I'll call Trek's cell in the afternoon if I free up to see if you could still use a hand. Sorry!

Spazz, I'd come but I'm a ways a way and have meetings. I wish I could help. I truly do.

Any local college boys that would help really cheaply?

Craigslist has some good posts on moving - check this link, and other similar ones:

Or maybe even post on Craigslist that you need the help...

My landlord set me up with a couple of guys... so, though I appreciate y'alls efforts, you're off the hook (except Trek420 ).

See you on the road (eventually).

Spazz, I hope the moving is going ok. I don't have a car and no easy way up there or I'd come. Of course I coudln't help move things due to the ribs. Neil needs the car since he'll be visiting his father. We were at the hospital for about 5 or 6 hours yesterday visiting with him. He's got many clots in his legs and it's severely swollen.

I'm telling you, when it rains it pours. *sigh*
