The good news is there are no broken ribs or bones. The bad news is it hurts just as much as if they were, but the good news again is that bruises heal quicker than bones.

The road rash hurts like the dickens and it hurts to cough, sneeze, blow your nose or breath deep, but the Dr. gave me some stronger pain med than Advil. Took my first vicaden ever, think I'm going to take a nap....zzzz...

Glad nothing is broken. Take good care of yourself. My experience is that road rash takes energy to heal. Naps, good food & hydration, etc.

Bikewriter, so glad it isn't any worse! That was quite the crash. Take care and heal fast. Hope it isn't too long before you are back in the saddle.

oh no!!! SO sorry you crashed so hard!
I hope everything heals up quickly. Been there done that and it's soooo incredibly painful (and then the itching starts).
Big hugs to you- and sending lots of healing vibes your way!

Oh I HATE road rash!! I hope you just bruised a rib, and have not broken it. Ribs take forever to mend. Feel better soon!
