I have two pairs of Sidis, road and MTB, mid-range, which I dearly love. I think my feet are pretty average. In Birkenstocks they are fit as narrow, but that refers to the area of the arch, not out at the ball of the foot.

I _thought_ I wanted those red Sidi Doms, but after the short bout of trying to un-do the buckle on the Christmas Disappointment shoes during their trying-on, I became convinced that I prefer velcro all around. Plus, I found my latest Sidi MTB shoes on eBay for $45. (I think MSRP is $110 or something.)

Now I just need winter Sidi MTB shoes, and I will be happy! I think tomorrow I will try plastic bags in my shoes, or maybe some wool socks or something.

What works for one doesnt always work for another but Im with mickchick. I love my Sidi's. I have black Doms for MTB (rose colour is pretty but clashes with my orange bike) and blue Genius for road. I never notice my feet when I ride because they are just so happy and comfy in my shoes.

    I like the Sidis

I have wide feet and just love the Sidis. Following Denise's excellent advice, I got the MTB type, because I appreciate being able to walk around when I stop without looking like a dork. I have just the regular width, not the megas, and they fit just fine. And, yes, it is the second most that I also have paid for shoes.
